Top Tier Downtiers

The sheer fact that someone who has just gotten introduced into top tier (12.7-13.0) with the early missiles and no chaff whatsoever, will actively and extremely frequently be forced into full uptiers against spaded Strike Eagles, Rafales, Typhoons, Hornets, & SU-30SM’s whose FOX 3 Radar missiles define their ability to molest the enemy is nothing more than a Gaijin tactic to employ frustration on the player to encourage them to spend money to buy their own radar missiles, chaff, performance upgrades, etc. This is not including the fact that a jet at 14.0 will never be uptiered, because it is unable, so that results in a majority of matches being full downtiers against near helpless enemies who most likely just jumped from 11.3 or 12.3 into a near top tier jet with no concept of how the tactics change between a relatively small BR shift. On top of this, those players who do end up being the guys doing the turkey shoot, it leaves the teammates without any targets themselves, meaning a lot of players leave matches without a point, and have just wasted a match watching AMRAAMS or R-77’s kill 3/4 of the team in 2 minutes. I don’t think there is a solution because Gaijin ensures there won’t be, but I just wanted to rant.

It’s partly true. On planes like the Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon, and Gripen, you can easily grind to the top by playing at low tiers with basic weaponry. But for the exact reason you mentioned, I didn’t bother wasting my energy and nerves grinding the F-15 in the Japanese tech tree. Since it was my first F-15, I had no idea about its flight characteristics, and after playing a couple of battles when I got it, I decided my nerves were worth more. There’s a lot to say about it. The last thing that upset me was my BMD-4M, which is at 9.3 but still hasn’t received the new type of ammunition.

Don’t spawn in unbalanced/full uptiers. Play something else while you wait for the crew lock. Not a perfect solution, but that’s the solution we got.

The game’s trash balance and extreme BR compression are by design.

And by doing this you never learn how to actually deal with uptiers, you only ever learn how to play when you have an absolute advantage over everyone else, and thus can afford to make more mistakes or bad plays that go unpunished in ways that they wouldn’t otherwise.

but by learning the intricacies of the games and how to play around uptiers, you end up learning far more about the game and how to play, which improves your skills, which means that eventually you stop caring about uptiers because you know how to deal with the stronger enemy vehicles anyway.

You are acting like I suggested to avoid any and all uptiers.

I am referring to something like fighting 13.7 in a 12.7 jet. Or fighting 14.0 lobbies with the 13.0 F-16a or the F-14b

Top tier is so damn compressed that many 12.7 facing 13.0s should be a full uptier already
