I actually don’t know this, but can Console players use these tools?
Sure, on another device. Just like they can’t use the forum on PS5
EDIT: I actually don’t know if PS5 has a browser.
What other device?
Was answered:
Of course not every case can be mentioned explicitly in the rules, therefore they need to be kept vague, but they are clear enough that the idea behind the rules is understandable.
A phone, laptop, idk
But how would you implement this code into the PS5 game? Or rather extract the port 8111 from the console? I don’t understand
Huh? You can access it on other devices
…by plugging them in to the playstation?
No. You open a browser on your phone, type http://<your console’s IP address>:8111 and it works
And how do you now get this HUD symbology of the airfields onto your TV, connected to the playstation?
My understanding is the WTRTI tool consumes the data on the right here - although in my opinion a lot of this should be natively in the game client as options. Up until the most recent patch, WTRTI was the ONLY way to know whether you were at 102%, 104%, 106% etc. throttle for the Afterburner “stages”. Vanilla client just saw WEP.
But on a techncal level, all the information that feeds into constructing the in-game and out-of-game map you can see on the left is also accessible if you know where to look. This includes the X and Y positional data of every marker on the map - friendly aircraft, enemy aircraft - you name it. Ping these endpoints enough, and you can construct a track of an enemy where they’re roughly going, how far roughly away they are, potential intercepts, if they’re close to you (could have yourself get a warning or a notification if an enemy approaches within 4km of your rear 90 degrees or something). Now this is entirely relying on the enemy being spotted in air RB for the marker to show up, but once the marker is there you can do whatever on a technical level - and AFAIK this would provide a massive advantage and be almost undetectable due to not injecting anything into the game.
This is why if it were up to me, I would either block entirely the localhost (as impossible to make it an equal footing between players), or heavily regulate what and where the data can be consumed (open in Custom Battles/Test Flight, closed to randoms unless approved by gaijin with some sort of key or something)
That you can’t get. You would have to display it on some other device. It’s just a limitation of consoles, they don’t allow sideloading.
Nope, we cant use our Localhost8111 since its a closed system on console
My friend plays on a PS and can use War Thunder Assistant just fine.
Yeah this is what I was thinking about…
then hes for sure not on Console…
Alr, I’ll get him to take a screenshot just for you
War thunder assistant is also an official Gaijin app?
yep
good, Ill wait…
