Tiny Maps for Modern Warfare! Ground Vehicles and Jets in War Thunder Deserve More Space

I invite everyone to participate in this debate to change this

Hi, there is something that has always bothered me in my 5 years playing this game and that is the impossibility, to ban the maps that I simply “DON’T” want to play.

They should give an option “with or without” to ban the maps that you just don’t like. That one has to pay to ban 1 miserable map seems to me quite dishonest when it is a mechanic that should be free and not paid. I think that their packages are expensive enough to get picky with this mechanic.

Are you dissatisfied with the current maps?

I ask why do we have to play city maps if we don’t want to?

Or why do I have to play a piston map like Spain or City, Alfganistan on top tier 4th gen planes? Who thinks it’s ok that a tank can kill another tank miles away and they put maps like Berlin or Normandy in rank 8? at least to me it seems like a bad joke. at this point i feel like i’m playing clash royale or Cube Thunder rather than Warthunder.

If they add a system to be able to ban maps people will play the maps they want and they won’t leave the game and everyone will be happy there are maps that are hateful and stressful to play.

Or at least a new page where people make the maps and the maps most voted by the community leave the game to be honest gaijin. does not know how to make maps one uglier than the other and on top of that limit them to the point that there is no freedom of movement and spawm camping will never solve it. I propose that the community out to vote this in favor. the maps of this game are incredibly uncomfortable and unplayable the vast majority

  • I would like a map banning system.

I can’t believe there are people who consider playing this kind of maps to be fun considering that not all tanks have turrets or decent turret turns reloads or are tank destroyers this kind of maps would be better for custom “BUT NOT MANDATORY”.

The Spawn camping there are many ways to solve them one and the simplest would be to put AI turrets that are plants where they defend the spawn point these could be disabled for 1 minute seconds or 30 seconds this would add a good experience to the game and also these could be limited in range so they are not abusive but the idea is to cover the spawn point.

Another would be to put a fairly large spawn area and not limit people to go out only in a single spawn site if not an area as many games have done it is not very difficult to achieve.
I understand why they don’t use the same mechanic so that people can go out where they want to go without just going out in the crosshairs of the enemy tank.

I’m also citing the pilots to participate in both simulator and realistic because for me the maps are a case of gravity in the game this type of maps should not even exist in rank 8.

  • I like this idea of ground turrets.

Would you like the community to be in charge of making Warthunder maps?

I would basically try to get gaijin to make a place in the forum where maps made by the community can be published and voted to enter the game with a slight reward for the user who can make a popular map like other gaijin games do. would have to worry about maps again

You shouldn’t be able to ban a size of map ever as that’s unrealistic.

Most of the top maps are no where near the cherry-picked maps you provided.

Also Spain and Afghanistan are welcome re-introductions for top jets. I was sick of only having massive maps to play on and it was boring.
Diversity in maps is good.

I agree with what you say, in my point of view the tank games should be at least 20km by 20km maps where there are covers and areas to shoot and the battle should be dynamic in its development, how to create trenches, supply modules and what The map is not a city that seems like a pointless mousetrap, larger and more dynamic maps have to be made for top tier and intermediate br tanks

More unrealistic than a tank engagement in a literally 800m wide corridor?

So because I said “Diversity in maps is good.” you’re now claiming that the same maps all the time is realistic…
K.

What real sense does it make to have a 130km by 130km map if we only fight in 30km and much less, a large part of the map is wasted?

This is your realism

friend that doesn’t make sense

@RayLeight You mean that’s YOUR realism.
My realism is reality, and this quote that you keep ignoring:

Next post that attempts to lie about my beliefs means you hate large maps like Red Desert.

@CLCrosariu
I agree their post makes no sense.

The diversity of maps, most of the maps are very small, if we count the number of “big” and “small” maps, more than one will be surprised, what there is less is the variety of maps and that is something that the community has always complained.

It depends on what diversity we are talking about, if they put the same city maps where maneuverability or speed or rangefinders make no sense because we are fighting in a mousetrap where we cannot go out or make strategies, that must change.

At 8.7 and up, all but 6 of the small maps are locked to lower BRs. Most are medium sized maps.

Good for strike missions, but we need better AI and thus better options for strike missions.

The map system I put in is a map ban system so it would be considered a win or win. I don’t have to play maps that you like. nor on the contrary

Some good ideas here, the map trends have been very concerning with the obvious “lanes” and knife fights.

Just ignore alvis, he is here to poison the discussion as always.

Mandatory edit because someone can’t handle criticism and reports posts. :)

It should be that way but currently the map being played is repetitive and frustrating

If you don’t want to play on my precious Red Desert and Pradesh, more power to you, but that’s what you’re indicating to my by bringing up my map preferences BEFORE I can tell you what they are.

I see @soymilkman is claiming that large-map enjoyers are bad.

The premise of your question is in agreement with the premise of my post, so it’s a rhetorical question I hope.

With all due respect that you deserve, almost all War Thunder players prefer large maps in almost all br, I doubt that anyone who knows how to play would want to continue with the current trucho meta
