That would require your team to dominate at least one side of the map. The next step is spawncamping the enemy spawn. Like they would do it to you and I think this is stupid. Where is fairness there, no sportmanconduct? If I capture a point I defend it and that doesn’t require to spawncamp the enemy team. Simply because in my opinion spawncamping is a cowardly behaviour.
depends one the BR and some other factors. It’s only a vaild option if have realistic chanche to kill those enemies around your spawn.
I think spawncamping is a cowardly behaviour and therefore is an act of bad sportsmanconduct. And because WT is a PvP game a fair and balanced gameplay should be the bare minimum.
Sometimes i just straight up leave a battle without even spawning once. I even say stuff like “nah, i ain’t gonna play this map, bye, gl tho”
I will just not torture myself with bad maps if i don’t feel like it
It’s a game lol not a sport although its getting more like one than a war game and its a game where every body hides behind something or uses it as cover .One thing that is game killing is how your tank shows up to the enemy when you are not in the marked spawn protection area .If you managed to get into a certain position on a map with out anybody else seeing you in a plane or tank then you deserve the kills you may or may not get.
It’s a competiton just like a sport with only difference it’s not about physical potential and rather more about tactic. Therefore I don’t see a difference there.
But I agree with you if you say if you managed to sneak to a spot where you can cover an important angle to gain an advantage players should use it. But does this always have to be spawncamping?
No. It IS a GAME.
You do not compete here. You play.
I’m sorry to hive bits off sentence wise but if it is a competition they winning by any legal means is fine and that includes spawn camping and I am not trying to be petty or score forum points,I am simply saying if its about getting kills like getting goals in a soccer match then who cares what goes as long as its legal? ODL is legal and if it means a player can survive or it means they come back and play as opposed to leave then OK.
Hiding in wait is just hiding in wait.An ambush is an ambush whether its 100ft away of half a mile. I f a spawn point is so open that you cannot enter the re-game then that should be down to the Game makers to remedy in a clever manner. Gaijin have had 13 years to do this and they cant be bothered.
Its 2025 and Gaijin cant sort out the fundamentals of an aging game? Too bust creating Auctions and crappy chest gambling casinos to rip kids off?
And we ask why the masses are unhappy and ODL?
Any game with PVP is by nature competitive, even if you do not take it seriously, its still a competition with others.
Bro, stole my line. 100% FACT
But that’s the point. Random battles is not to be taken seriously at all. Only tournaments and squadron battles should.
If you take random battles serius than its on you. You are just expecting too much from at least 28 (if you are in a squad) random players with somewhat random lineups and random gameplay styles.
I am going to do the same, to revive this thread.
I will only stick 1 or 2 vehicles, 1 Heli, and 1 Plane in a line up. I don’t care. I am not going to play war of attrition against ussr lineups that can field 9+ vehicles not including backups in a nation where you might scrap together 3 vehicles at the same BR. Kinda dumb. I don’t even care if the match is a win or a loss anymore. I will take my kills where I can get them and then move on the next match. Can’t get crew locked with a lineup of only 3 vehicles. Don’t have to worry about getting spawn camped, if you have nothing to spawn back in with. It actually works really well for this game. Here are just some of the benefits:
- You only research 1 crew, so that crew is maxed out.
- You can only Air RB 1 vehicle anyways… so crew is maxed out again.
- Helicopters are research heavy anyways, so it doesn’t matter.
- I might throw in one rat vehicle just for giggles but if I feel like the match isn’t working well I bail.
- It is pretty stress free once you don’t care.
- You don’t have to be frustrated that the ussr line up is rocking a full 10 vehicles plus their backups when your TT can put together only 2 vehicles at that BR.
I quit after 1 death most my games, because I hate most matches and want you to equally suffer.
Until Gaijin get better at balancing nations they hate (UK, US), get better at map designs especially for top-tier, and cut out the obvious bias, then quitting after 1 death will continue until I’m banned.
I am forced to leave the match after a death, because I only have one vehicle, sometimes I have a squad too, and I always procrastinate on tank research because of this.
Premium and squad vehicles are very complicated, you only have them, you don’t have a complete lineup, when you die there is no way to respawn, nations like Israel and France for example are even worse because you only have one premium vehicle available to buy in some ranks, like rank VII , without if you want you can build a premium lineup to play, and that’s the biggest design error of this game.
Gaijin offers a way for the player to skip stages of the game and send you directly to a certain rank by paying, but it does not provide enough tools for this practice to be sustainable and healthy for the game, both for the player who bought the vehicle and for his team.
You pay (and pay dearly, the price of a AAA game) for a high tier vehicle, but there are no ways to effectively grind with it, you only have a single spawn (two with backup).
This practice is not only bad for the player who bought the vehicle, who ends up having a horrible grind due to the unique spawn.
It’s horrible for both the allied and enemy teams too, the enemy team only kills you once, and your team is depleted.
The team that is least weakened wins, the match ends with few kills and quickly, with the two main multipliers of SL and RP being kills and match time.
Premium and high tier vehicles were supposed to have a high reward for being the late game and premium vehicles with double the reward, but in the end, top tier and high tier premium vehicles bring the opposite effect to the game, they are the matches that end faster, with fewer kills due to lack of resources, and consequently those that pay less SL and RP…
If you have a full lineup at 9.3, the match will reward you much more than a match with 2 premium vehicles and a squad vehicle at 11.3-11.7.
…And the gaijin is fully aware of this.
When I said it was a design flaw I was very naive, this is not a game design flaw, this is precisely designed and premeditated to be this way, to not work, to not reward you no matter how much you reward the gaijin with your money and your time.
They should make it mandatory for players to bring at least three vehicles into battle. Furthermore, if a player leaves the match while still having available vehicles, all nations should be locked for 10 minutes.
“I’m bad at the game, so I want to take out my frustration by sabotaging the rest of my team.”
