Time to formally request the removal of time out zones and red lines from the maps

I’m tired of being destroyed by venturing into invisible redzones in slow vehicles and being either forced into enemy fire or blown up by the game.
Why did they ever bring in this garbage.

I’m at a loss what to do but I am proposing a formal suggestion to remove this as it’s the worse thing about this game currently. The game ran well without it for a long time. It’s lame and lazy and it makes me switch the game off.

If I can get any form of support for this I will put it as a suggestion but we need to show that we are annoyed by this.

It would be interesting to see whether I only speak for myself or if others are angered by it also and would like to see it gone.

Leave a like or a comment if you support this move.Or maybe suggest a better way of showing Gaijin how hated this is.

Thanks

How would map borders work then?

What Gaijin needs to do is just change some to follow the natural terrain of the map better, as well as expand the borders on some maps.

yep

Revert the Map borders back to the physical boundaries set by the developers and the ‘Return to battlefield’ warning once you have left the playable area depicted by the minimap, no more of these lazy ‘leave the area -25s’ AKA red crayon of death zones that funnel players into specific, boring routes.

Maybe I am Biased because I used to love finding unique and funny spots to perch in light vehicles but now all of those have been smeared in red lines and with no altering of terrain or adding of props to mark off the area, just a zone of death that has, to my knowledge still not been justified by the Devs past the lame excuse of ‘we will use this tool to section off OP map spots to prevent spawn camping’

It removes so much life from the game and makes it ground a very mixed bag for me rn

I agree with the removal of insta-death zones, but the square map borders aren’t always the best actual borders to do.

Which is a good excuse.

Replace those zones with interesting map props/terrain, not just an invisible force.
In fact I would love if they added a radiation feature or something along those lines to justify it, but who knows, just anything but the red crayon of death

The same way they used to work before this rubbish was introduced.

These things may be meant to prevent one team of players from gaining a unilateral advantage, but limiting players to a square map the size of a chessboard through a simple and rough countdown is too disappointing

Red rot is a stupid idea. Just make parts of maps physically inaccessible instead.

I’d like to add here rework of spawn detection zone outline:

1. Visible outline should be shown on a mini-map all the time. Currently it shows only when you are near it and already marked on enemy map.

2. Example on a Flanders map how spawn detection outline should look like:

Not like this we have in game now!

Please make it constant and obvious. Some maps i trigger it all the time just flanking atound without any intent or willingness to shoot into spawn. Like on kuban moving from B to A water route

I’m about it. There is a lot of maps with this unfair mechanic (even my beloved Advance to the Rhine and Karelia).

On some maps I might even question the sanity of the person who placed those red zones.

For example, this is the correct position:

But this is an incorrect position inside the red zone:

Where is any logic in this? Did the person who added these zones just place them randomly? Did they even test drive the map after adding these red zones?

What gaijin should to is adjust suitable map size by their battle tier
no MBT should fight in WWII era scale map same go as WWII shouldn’t be fight the same map scale as modern MBT it can use already exist map to make that happen
