they still refuse to give germany there own add on armor its been pending for eons italy having the best TIGER 1 in the game is getting on my nerves as many german tiger 1s used the add on armor id rather see it removed from tigris or given to both its unfair advantage as it makes immune when angled to 2 of the most common guns of the BR 76mm M1 cannon and the russian 85mm
would you like to see german TIGER E receive the same kit
Debatable since the smoke grenades offer more utility than the 15-20mm protection that the tracks offer.
However imo Germany should still have the add on armor on their Tiger Es.
not really since you are far more armored smoke grenades vs addon armor is not fair trade off
especially since when angled you are immune to 76mm and 85mm cause of the add on armor

The addon armor was extensive used for German crews in his Tigers so a addon armor should be added.
Italy kinda needs a heavy tank though
this is what you people dont understand due to it being a 22mm plate it makes any gun with 140-150mms of pen not be able to pennetrate so things like 76 jumbo or T-34-85MM can non pen they cant pen the corners when angled its literally P2W
its not just a little armor it makes a lot of difference
instead of adding a unique tank to fill the gap like the TAS 44M

Its hard to grasp anyways, cause the massive lack of e.g. German fast moving vehicles up to rank IV doesn’t seem to lead to any c&p in favor of Germany. Other nations get these gaps fixed.
Remove the add on armour from the Tigris is the better solution. I don’t know why but Italy always seems to get better equipment than anyone else. Their Firefly gets its historical APDS whereas the British one still doesn’t etc.
Adding more armour to the Tiger would make life miserable for APDS users considering the round likes to bug out and shatter on Tigers already and don’t get me started on the 17lber which I could swear uses rubber rounds at times.
The Tiger already has a ton of armour especially when angled. The front plate driver port etc is already buggy enough and bounces things it shouldn’t. I know in RB the Tiger (like all tanks) might get dunked on in an uptier but you need to think about the tanks technically beneath you as well. The Tiger has enough armour in my opinion.
Germany had hungarian crews included in one of their armored divisions. They were provided Tiger tanks and operated along Germans. The tanks even have german markings and insignias, if you check historic photos.
I don’t understand a video game which takes this historical fact and grants Tiger tanks to Italy. Where is the logic? Its the same as USA, which exports Abrams tanks to their security partner Taiwan and and War Thunder translates this into China getting Abrams tanks into their ranks. Equipment from the biggest competitor on world stage.
Maybe its just me, but I think this handling is taking something away from this game. It lacks any historic logic and leads to the same tanks on every side. Which is boring.
It creates massive issues in Sim as well where we have no markers for ID.
You’ve got Panzer IV’s and T-34’s on both sides, even Tiger II’s now along with all of the Shermans etc. It’s ridiculous.
Tigris has no difference over other Tiger 1s.
The tracks are not major improvements when standard Tiger 1s bounce the same rounds.
Guns either bounce off the standard Tiger 1s or they’re so much better that they pen both.
Soviet 85mm can’t even deal with standard Tiger 1 effectively.
except you can aim around the buggy stuff and pen very easily with shot MK8 APDS is really best used against things like the panther

sherman 76 has 140mm and the russian 85 has angle performance remeber ?
in CQC engagements they can pen
I don’t often see Shermans at 10 meters.
& even if I did, CQC eliminates all angling protection in general.
It’s easier to angle 40 degrees at medium & long ranges than it is around a corner.
unless your a tigris with add on armor that gives 160mm of armor on front plate when angled
