Tigers, Pershings etc. BR's need to change

Germany, despite being known for having the most braindead players, have what might just be the best ground tech tree in the game. Thats already something generally agreed upon.

What I don’t get is the BR placement of tanks (and their variants) such as the Tiger 1, Tiger 2, Panther, Jagdpanther, Jagdtiger, Ferdinand etc, especially comparing them to their counterparts over in the land of the free and the brave.

First of all, the M26 Pershing. The regular one, not the T26E5 “jumbo”. How can it be 6.7? Not only is that the exact same as it’s up-armored brother, but it’s also equivalent to the Tiger II H. How? When I compare the Tiger E to the M26, they’re about on par. The Pershing has a slightly better gun, slightly better mobility and maybe slightly worse armor. Yet it’s a whole BR higher. What!?
The Panther A/G/F has a better gun, maybe better armor (that mantlet is hell), and similar or perhaps better mobility. 6.0

What the fluff is that??? The M26 gotta go down to 6.0, maybe even 5.7.

Next up, the Jumbo Shermans: The 75’s gotta go 5.3, the 76 probably 6.0. Neither should be able to fight King Tigers. It’s utterly perplexing to me that the 76 jumbo, a tank that is in many ways on par with a Panther D, is fighting Tiger II’s at 6.3.

Now the big boys: The T34 is worse than the Tiger II H . Imma go out here and say it right now: The KwK 43 is a better gun than the T53. It gets APHE with a little less pen and a 2x faster reload rate. PzGr 39/43 is such a good round. We all know that.

Compared to the II H, the T32 and T32E1 have similar Armour, a equivalent gun with double the reload rate, and similar mobility. Yet somehow these 2 are up to and entire BR higher. Thats absurd.

So how is this fixed? I dunno. Bring the German’s BR’s up, or lower the Americans. How about both? Maybe wave the magical snail wand and do a load of buffing and nerfing. Either way, somethings gotta change. This is no good.

Never post again. Delusional.

Ah yes. The classic M26 is hardly better than the Tiger E comparison.

Also not true. The 90mm is much more capable.

The Jumbo is much better armored and beats the Panther D massively in terms of firepower with having:

  • Much better turret traverse
  • A stabilized gun
  • Better RoF

The Tiger II H is probably slightly better but it’s hardly worth a BR difference.

The T32s have nearly twice the turret armor.
Not only on the front but the sides as well.
There are also much more mobile, having HP/t ratios of medium tanks.

Couldn’t agree more . Why is it always Americans main that want others nation stuff to go up and there nation stuff to go down

not an American main. Swedish, actually. I’ve gotten to 10.7 (Finnish Leo 2a4), or 11.3 if you’re counting the T80 U. Haven’t spent a cent to get there.

My bad my bad if you are not i have mostly seen what i stated in the forum .

How much does that frontal armor count in a (somewhat common) up tier. In my experience, jack sh*t when you’re dealing with APDS or HEATFS.

Side armor, how much does that count for really?

The M26 suffers from BR compression, but how on earth is it equal to a T-34-85.

Yes German players are bad, yes the M26 is in a bad spot, but no it’s not a 6.0 tank.

Objectively false.

BR decompression

Actually most of the problem in game would be solved if only br decompression happens

alr thats a fair point

Him calling another player “most braindead”

Also him:

Hardly 0.5 KD on everything he played lol

Decompression doesn’t solve the issue of soft brackets being formed by premium vehicles, look at the stat shark data for games played by vehicle, premiums make up like 60-70% of the match maker at some some BRs. It does help, but I think stricter match maker will help more ie 0.7 instead of 1.0 up/down. Unless we get unbefore seen levels of decompression. Like 16.0 ground at least.

I understand it came from sterotype of german main. Don’t bring stat shame to this man

Gaijin should give a option just like night battle where there is a option to stay at your own br sure it will take time but worth it .

I’d rather see rotating brackets like ground sim, and then give the bottom/mid BR vehicles in the bracket SL/RP bonus.

Tbf hes calling out the stereotype besides whats his KD got to do with it?

Besides 6.7 US is a pretty solid BR but im a bigger fan of the 7.0 M46 so i dont really play any 6.7 at 6.7 and rather 7.0, additionally the M26 is pretty solid, my French and Italian LD’s are somewhat solid i think, its just a lot of compression tbf

Quite a lot actually, the T32s are decently survivable against HEATFS and APDS. The turret tanks them quite often and the thick hull reduces a lot of spall from APDS/HEATFS.

Problem is that there is just no point at all to play the M26 at 6.7.

The T26E5, M26E1 and maybe even T26E1-1 are all the same tank but much much better at the same BR. However you also can’t really move it down.

#justicefortheM26

make it 6.3
