Easier stock grind which was my original statement
and if you’re trying to say to Z-9WA is better than the Tiger UHT I don’t even know where to start with that

the uht was an easier stock grind than the z-9wa
Only the UHT has contrast lock which makes PvE a lot easier
Z-9WA with two modifications can be effective on GRB, aside from the fact that it is easier to play.
PVE doesn’t count because it is a useless gamemode, and the lock thing is pointless, like I’ve explained before.
I’m not saying that the Z-9WA is better than the Tiger UHT, but saying that the Tiger UHT is better to grind because it can lock in PVE doesn’t make sense.
Rocket rushing only works for helicopters with access to heavy rockets (Zunis, S-8K or SNEBs) or good guns (soviet 30mm).
You don’t need heavy rockets FFARs work just fine assuming you’re not limited to 14 like the Italian huey lol

sure lol

And I’m supposed to entertain the idea that barrel rolling in a helicopter has any practical use

what doesn’t make sense
It’s far easier to track targets with it especially against sudden movements, moving targets, keeping a target locked while switching view and it helps a hell of a lot in PvE where the server doesn’t reflect where a moving vehicle is properly
And I’m supposed to entertain the idea that barrel rolling in a helicopter has any practical use
You are not a skilled helicopter player, as I can see.
the server doesn’t reflect where a moving vehicle is properly
So for a bug of one of the most boring and useless gamemode of this game, Tiger UHT is easier to grind.
Ok boss.
Heli PvE is sadly the only half-reliable way to grind modules in this case. You don’t even necessarily need a lot of kills, as long as you stay alive. Racking up metric tons of kills every 5 minutes, while fun (but rather scummy) actually gives diminishing returns. Using boosters from Air/Assault mode helps tremendously.
If the UHT could mount rockets on the outer pylons (like the HAD/HAP) then yes rocket rushing is an option. Obviously that’s not the case though…
As someone who’s ground the entire Japanese Heli tree out without using premium vehicles, a few tips for PvE:
If you’re using dumbfire rockets, try and stay low. Use map cover when you can, and if trying to take on bases, approach fast below 25m at a slight angle. Roland rockets don’t proxy detonate below 25m, so if you come in at a slight angle they’ll fly past every time…
I-TOWs and TOW-2s will stay targeted where you left the red box when you go back into third person, you can use this to kill SPAAs from 3.7-3.0km away safely combined with hover mode.
Most important tip of all for anyone attempting Heli PvE: If you see the map you’re loading into is Rocky Canyon, just quit out and take the crew lock. It’s less horrid than fighting that broken, buggy mess of a map itself…
There genuinely is not an acceptable way to grind heli modules, it’s difficult enough to grind the heli itself with the abysmal PvE mode and the unnecessary amount of garbage filler helicopters in your tree with stupid RP requirements.
In the current state of the game you´re flying a 10.0 helicopter in a 12.7 environment. Why 10.0? Because it has no ability to defend itself in contrast to its derivates at 11.7. Its missiles are unreliable to say the least and even if you hit the best chance for a kill is anything below a MBT. Meanwhile if it would be at 10.0 it would fit perfectly with all the other helicopters such as the G-Lynx, Cobras, Hinds. Especially since the top Cobra got Aim-9M´s while the UHT doesnt get its IRIS-T or LFK NG to defend itself. If you want to grind it use the aforementioned setup of two Hots or later on 4 Hots and 19 Mighty Mouse.
Yeah Rocky Canyon is absolutely stupid. ZA-35s are somehow more cancer than the Gepards, and even after taking them all out alongside the Dusters you still have to contend with roof 50 cals being radar guided for some reason. They especially love to randomly snipe your transmission or pilot. God I hate that map.
Combine that with the big valley in the center and you spend ungodly amounts of time climbing and descending back and forth over and over again to get to targets.
Even the “grind with ground vehicles” checkbox won’t help with this lmfao
And I’m supposed to entertain the idea that barrel rolling in a helicopter has any practical use
… you don’t play helicopters simply going by this
Not just that, but the terrain on that map seems to bug more than any other, obscuring vehicles and making acquiring locks hard at long ranges.
while fun (but rather scummy)
why?
You only actually need around 300 score every 15 minutes you stay alive to max out the “payments”, IIRC.
? it has far too good of atgms to be 10.0 along with other qualities of the heli
he said scummy
Gaijin: nuh man, it’s by spending cash to unlock the part bro no more suffering
Just for reference at 10.3 is the G-Lynx with 8 Hellfires and 8km range, the MI-35 with its screw that postcode ordinance and not to forget that both of them have chinmounts to defend themselves. In comparison the UHT got 4 stingers that often times dont work for its self defence. At 11.7 there are three helis with 8-16 Spikes with 8km range, Chinmounts for self defence and even AAM. Other helis get 8-16 Hellfires with 8km range or even Aim-9 L/M´s.
Now in regards to the PARS they are currently the most useless ATGM due to GJ not fixing the bugs with the ATGM. For example it far too often switches targets from opponent to a burning wreck, the missiles self destruct when there is a small brush or smoke infront of the vehicle, it cant reliable damage or even kill the opponent due to the lockpoint being the drivers viewport (meanwhile the KH-38 targets the roof of tanks).
Often times the Seeker wont activate or will simply directly target a wreck instead of opponent. Additionally it cant even utilize its OSIRIS due to GJ modelling the pilot as the optic, thus strikes from behind a hill are not possible. Shall I continue in regards to why that thing is far too overtiered in its current state and GJ refusing to fix it?
The stock grind in basically all helicopters is awful. The modules cost too much RP, and the RP gain is abysmal because of how low helicopter survivability is, especially before you get stand-off weapons.
Put the helicopter in a lineup with a reserve tank and then one-death-leave rocket rushing with the helicopter. That’s the only viable way to make any kind of quick progress. If people get mad at you for ruining matches - blame GJN for making it this way.
