Now hear me out before yall start screaming. I say it should go up to 7.0 so it can get a few CHANGES. One, it should get back its OG 750hp. Which is what the SLA-16 engine was rated for, and what it was intended to produce IN the Tiger II.
And on top that, it should get the Tiger II 105s TURRET, not the gun. Just the turret. because the SLA-16 is meant to be the next evolution of the Tiger II, bigger engine, other improvements, all that jazz (And considering its already a fake tank…) it should get the Tiger II 105s turret with the Range finder.
I say the SLA-16 is a fake tank, because according to documents the ONLY Tiger II chassis ever fitted with the SLA-16 engine, was a Jagdtiger Chassis. No full on Tiger IIs had the engine. Just the one Jagdtiger with it as a test bed.
But considering the timeline, the Rangefinder equipped turret would have been entering production around the same time, as the SLA-16 fitted Tiger IIs had the war not ended so.
EDIT: So who flagged this?

It is barely better than the KTH.

Granted, it getting the range finder would drop the gundepression from -8, to about -6 so…
read mate, I justified the idea.
Give it the 750hp, like it used to have when it was first added years ago, and the Tiger II 105s Rangefinder equipped turret, giving it a better effectiveness to shoot at range, and it would work just fine at 7.0.
Two guys with the word ‘tank’ in their name arguing…

The maximum claimed HP is 685, not 750.
750 is bench HP, with no accessories.
A Governor that the SLA-16 was being built to not require the use of?
The SLA-16 was being built to give the Tiger II the ability to have a High HP engine it could use without a Governor.
IT had HEAVILY Improved torque numbers, which is what caused all of the issues with the Tiger IIs with the Maybachs, the engines didn’t have enough torque at high RPM to keep up with the weight of the Vehicles, so they limited the RPM to keep the engines in their Torque curves and keep them able to MOVE.
The SLA-16 engine didn’t have that issue. It was able to put out both the 750HP, and enough torque to keep up with the Tiger IIs weight. Meaning no need for a Limiter on the engine. That is the entire reason they were planning the move to Diesel engines anyway.

And yet… Most other Tanks in the game get the bench HP… Hell some of them get completely Ahistorical HP numbers, looking at you OQF 3.7 Ram

No, most tanks in War Thunder have their shaft HP, which still has accessories attached draining power.
The RAM is just bugged.
I mean its been like this for months so…
is it really a bug?
if Tiger II (Sla.16) is a fake tank, and Tiger II (10.5cm) is also a fake tank (according to Gaijin) then why it would be at 7.0 with the same 88mm that already struggles against 7.7 tanks.
also Gaijin nerfed the Tigers’ mobility lowering their RPMs and reducing their max HP since some of the Tiger IIs had that modification with less power to make the engine live more time (cuz it already had a short life due to the weight) which obviously isn’t useful in WT cuz u can’t “break” ur Tiger’s engine.
u need to say thx that Gaijin lowered them to 38km/h and not 34 just like they said the first time.
Tiger (Sla.16) is completely fine at 6.7 since its the same King Tiger but with a better engine that solves the main problem of that heavyweights: mobility.
also there’s a lot of tanks that can counter the Tiger II just like IS-2, SU-100P (that looks very unfair at 6.3 with a 100mm cannon and 24km/h of reverse), T34 (that can be quite a challenge to destroy if the T34 player is smart enough), M56/M50, Ratel 90… cmon, even a 6.0 Centurion Mk.1 can annihilate it at longer distances with its APDS.
if u would say "it should get the 105mm cannon with its original 252mm APCBC), then i would agree to see it at 7.0, but rangefinder isn’t necessary cuz the muzzle velocity is already absurd and u don’t even have to aim too high to fire at a long distance target.

SAE gross is the horsepower output of the engine with no accessories. WarThunder specifically uses SAE gross (unless an SAE gross value is unknown).
Therefore, 750 PS would be correct for WarThunder.
No, it isn’t.
The SLa.16 engine outputs 750 gross PS at 2000 crankshaft RPM. It has additional gearing directly on engine output to turn 2000 into 3000 RPM. With accessories installed (cooling, alternators, etc), the engine outputs 680 net PS.
It has nothing to do with a governor.

An unreported bug is still a bug.
The QF ram horsepower is more likely a result of the poor Canadian intern that had to write the document simply getting the engine wrong.
Instead of Wright Whirlwind (the engine installed in standard M3, M4 and M4A1 tanks), they wrote Cyclone with 800 horsepower. Which is the engine series of the M6 heavy tank.

Id believe it actually.
Pictures of the actual prototype show it has a raised engine deck, meaning it likely would have had space for a Cyclone.
Imagine if the Black Prince had to move around with like 250HP.
That is what the dude above is trying to say all tanks in WT should be like. NO THANKS.
No, what they should do is move the Panther II back to 6.7 so i can use it with my 6.7 lineup again.
