Tickets Don't Even Matter In Air Anymore

Imho the term convoy is misleading - we talk about 3 clusters of 6 stationary trucks appearing 3-5 minutes before the 25 minute timer.

And yes, they are still there.

From my pov the introduction of the Thai SB2C changed the balance in favor of US/UK as their average pilot is a tanker main and is unable to deal with the conceptual disadvantages of the Helldiver.

Based on my observations those players are happy to ground pound and perform even rather useless attacks like torpedo runs like on Saipan or Iwo Jiima. I mean u get rewarded with a 175 points mission score for killing a destroyer / cruiser whilst they sacrifice their positioning.

Whilst i agree that the average US player is rather a rookie and it is often a pain to watch them dying like flies, the key on Pacific maps is and was always to avoid damages in the first place. From my pov the aaa on regular ships (destroyers/cruisers and even cargo ships) is way more dangerous than carrier aaa.

Two years ago you were able to kill 10 cargo ships with 10 x 60 kg bombs in one run on Iwo Jiima - today you get set on fire rather easily and i stopped attacking them due to this aaa buff.

nah unfortunately, but this also always took way too long

Maybe they need to do away with the ticket system altogether and just go with whoever has the most players left at the end wins and if its the same number on both teams who ever has the highest combined score wins or something. But that would cause more issues with those players that just hide in the airfield SPAA and drag out the game wouldn’t it? Maybe turn off the SPAA if a team has zero battle activity for 5 mins or so.

This wouldn’t help strike aircraft/bombers

Not in terms of contributing to winning, no. I kindda tunnel versioned on the issues with the tickets and forgot about them TBH
