Mate, come on. This is a discussion about a game. There’s no need to antagonise people or make it out to be so dramatic. ULQ and I civilly disagreed on this topic, why can’t you do the same? Do you really think this attitude will achieve anything, let alone win you any friends?
This is a game, and we all come here to have a good time. Life is complicated enough without also complicating our downtime ourselves.
BP things are not available rn probably because BP itself is still “new” but, other event stuff that is not tradable such as Ka-Chi and Yak-3T, Russian Type 62 is still part of lootbox iirc.
Well, since it didn’t need a hard grind like the IS-7 to get the BP vehicle itself, it may come back in some form in the future.
But that is the Problem. Given the atrocious drop rates, Account Only Vehicles are just as unobtainable as if they were not in the Lootbox at all. Opened plenty, trust me. Slid over the IS-7 god knows how many times. But it is all fake. Lies! I did not even get Cosmetics out of them.
I missed out on alot due to not having a working laptop, only returning to WT once it came to xbox, and I had to make a new account back then. By the time I had a working PC again my xbox account far exceeded my PC, so the PC account was deleted.
It’s a Live Service game. Missing out on events and specific items is the norm. As an xbox player, I do not have access to the GJN market. I cannot sell the things I’ve earned I didn’t care about nor can I buy from the market. That lack of market access is a frustrating, but maybe down the line Gaijin can correct it.
As for the vehicles themselves? I’m not fussed about it. Most of the events I’ve skipped anyways because I hate excessive grinding and/or excessive expenditures. I make my choices knowing the consequences. I save my efforts and/or wallet for things I actually want.
You aren’t the only one who has invested alot of time and money into this game, nor does doing so make Gaijin obligated to give us everything we may want on a silver platter, especially in regards to vehicles. You want the E-100? Then partake in the tournaments and try to win it. The other vehicles? You got the market and the boxes. The rest? Tough shit. No matter how much of a tantrum you throw you’re not going to get every single vehicle you missed. Nobody is. Deal with it.
You also sound like a spoiled, petulant brat spouting communist bullshit.
We don’t like commies round here so I suggest you keep your filthy ideology to yourself.
You won’t ever find a game that gives you everything from Day 1 so I suggest you go Learn2Code and make your own game, because your nonsense will find no sway around here.
You unenlightened fool, this game is over a decade old at this point as you know, clutching some dusty old pixels and defending their continuous gatekeeping is just pathetic. Touch grass. You had enough Early Access for our Toys.
The only person who needs to touch grass in this thread is you.
The absolute audacity of a petulant child demanding things they haven’t earned nor worked for nor were even present for in the first place. Your complaints are groundless and without a shred of merit.
Don’t just touch grass. Lay in it, smell it, then bury yourself in it and never get up again.
I’m not interested in the rest of your drivel, nor do threats of boogeyman mean anything to me. Especially since my country has this lovely little thing called the Second Amendment.
While this threat has gone completely off the rails at this point, I do think it’s worth keeping in mind that FOMO is explicitly anti-consumer. It takes content that would be enjoyable and ensures that as few people as possible are able to enjoy it. It also deprives gameplay variety and content as the game goes on. There are only so many vehicles that can be implemented in game, and the current BP and event system ensure that ever year dozens of vehicles are released once and then never again.
I’d quite like to get my hands on a Boarhound. It looks like it has a fun and unique playstyle that nothing else in game (Or even potential additions) can match. But because it was released back when I wasn’t paying attention and I missed it, I don’t have any chance of ever being able to play it. Not without shelling an irresponsible amount of money on the market, or taking the absurdly low chance in the SL crates.
There’s no reason (Other than financial) that these vehicles couldn’t be rereleased every so often, even if they were behind a grind every time. It gives players who missed out a chance to earn it just as the people who did so originally did. Say you had the option by completing a high level of the BP to switch out your BP prize for an equivalent one of a previous season.
But the financial part of it is why that’ll never happen. Gaijin capitalizes on FOMO to ensure that people will pay up to avoid the risk of missing out on a vehicle they care about, so long as they know this is the one chance they have of ever getting it. It’s unfortunate, and the game would be better off without it, but that’s just how it is.
And I’m not against the older vehicles coming back for events or special sales - Like national holidays or anniversaries for example. I’d love a fair shake at the M60AMBT, myself. However, acting like a petulant brat about it is not only counter-productive but an absolute waste of time and such behavior certainly won’t convince Gaijin of anything.
But that would be the next step desired by Gaijin. So your 16.000.000 SL did not drop you a vehicle? Just buy some with real money. And some more…
Why waste x amount of money for a random chance for a random vehicle, when you can get a vehicle guaranteed for the same money? I tried with the IS-7, why gamble on a 0.001% chance when you can get it for certain by saving up the cash instead?
I got a untradeable AUBL/74 HVG and coupons for Object 279 black camoflage and other stuff, so that’s pretty fair considering that SL can literally earn it for free.
Of course I sold all the coupons I got because I don’t play tonk battles and wanted some event vehicles for “free”.
