The German tanks are far too overpowered. As if it weren’t enough that they’re all heavily armoured to begin with, the anti-aircraft guns on the fictional tanks are a bit of a joke. I’ll let the Kelians slide since they’ve been removed, but the Ostwind II is fictional, so I’d like to see that one removed too. If we’re constantly being faced with vehicles from the war era that have such high penetration and fire rates, it’s just not fair on other nations. I’d like them either removed or their BR raised.

They do have some weakspots if you can hit them, and with any open top, you can casually put some MG over the top crew and usually cause some damage to stop them firing.
One real move is to track them, back away and put artillery over top of them.
I never even knew that it wasn’t like the VFW as it is in game but more a wirbel setup.

Just so you know though, the Ostwind II wasn’t fictional; it was a real 1945 prototype. The Coelian was the fake one, and that’s gone.
That said, it’s a total glass cannon. HVAP hurts up close but drops off fast, and the thing is open-topped any HE, .50 cal, or plane strafe kills it instantly. You don’t want its BR raised either; at 6.0+ it can’t pen anything and still dies to a stiff breeze.
Just shoot the turret ring or lob HE at the roof it folds like paper. Annoying? Yes. OP? Nah.

should be like this if it was to be added (wasnt completed so shouldnt be here), not a kitbash of a 3 cm Flakvierling on a VFW, kinda like how the BTR-ZD is just a ZU-23-2 bungee-strapped to a BTR-D hull

no actual evidence proves that it was built. its got the same amount of “evidence” as the imfamously fake KH-38MT/MTE

While photographic evidence is lacking, the Ostwind II is supported by written documentation from Ostbau mentioning a prototype assembled in early 1945. This places it in a category of poor historical record rather than complete fabrication. The KH-38MT, by contrast, has no documented basis whatsoever. They are not comparable in terms of evidentiary weight.
If you think germany is spoiled cause of that.

The thing is the coelian was planned to be made and we even have pictures of the wooden mockup turret for it. It’s a real project just does not meet the criteria for being in game since no specific parts were built for it and it was supposed to use a panther hull. There is more photo evidence for the coelain than there is for the ostwind 2.

there was actually mockups, far more than what is actually provable about ost 2. Late war german records are full of “ya mein fuhrer everything is fine and dandy” rubbish, we cant really prove what wasnt photographed or still around in parts

when i read “overpowered german vehicles” i definitely did not think that someone would have a massive skill issue at dealing with a double barreled open top ostwind that can be overpressured if an HE shell lands near it.
