This side always lose

But you can only do that on the south side, all the way to the southern span.

You just need to get to e4.

Match ended with me having 12 kills, another guy sitting in the spot having 8.
Enemy had no way of pushing through, so their objective got capped and they lost fairly quickly.
I could sit there very safely, as there is no way of really flanking, as that line of fire blocks 100% of “traffic”, and since Gaijin blocked the only other flanking route,… well, gg.

I dont recall one side being worse than the other one on this variant of novorossyisk.

its the (now removed i believe) variant where B is among that cluster of buildings on A2 that is extremely unbalanced and im just glad its gone.

here it is more about what nations you get on your team rather than which spawn, as the maps heavily favors armor over mobility id say. naturally at any BR side with more armored tanks is the one thats going to have easier time clearing the enemy team.

The thing is, if tanks sit where I sat, the match is over as it becomes impossible to move past the line of sight you can see in the map, while my tank is mostly safe from flanking, unless somebody drives around the building to my left, but only people who were past my line of fire before I got there can do that. And by the time anyone gets the right idea, it’s over also even if he drives around the building, it’s hilariously easy to notice, so noody’s going to get surprised.
Essentialy the entire objective of “B” team is to secure the spot at F5.

In that particular set-up the starting position for Blue is cramped toward the water.
Red can spread out at will immediately - no funneling.

I’ve seen different set-ups though, and have had success on the Blue side - though maybe not with that exact setup.

I know the spot, but Ive been taken out of it by coordinated push as well.

hell ive recently won by sitting with bois on this crossroad and locking down the map as well.

thus, I stand by what I said - its matchup and lineup dependent rather than one side having clear terrain advantage.

I’ve been on the Red side in your map and have done the same thing you did for the win.

Perhaps in my battle Blue was just too slow to take advantage of that positioning. Like many battles, get there first and have the big advantage. I hate it when I’m on a team that is too timid to act - or basically is just satisfied with camping ‘safely’ until the battle is lost.

This position MAY work, but you can see it’s way easier to attack it from multiple directions. Of course it A team in my scenario would absolutely survive if they used some of the smoke shells, but hey, I guess that’s too much to ask :P

with global average GRB KD being at what, 0.6? yeah, absolutely lol.

I think it’s more like “median” than average, but I get what you’re saying, it’s kinda horrible.

BTW this game, as it turns out, is in a large part about positioning.
If you learn the “good positions”, then you basically get some kills almost every time, then spawn an early plane, then harass the enemy, then again go to some good position, repeat.
But it’s very hard to find these good positions, with the fairly random nature of the game. You can get flanked by a Poomer and think “oh, this spot SUCKS”, while in reality, outside of Poomer danger, it’s EZ kill country.

Basically,. the single most important thing for me is to know… where to park my tank. And to not play WW2 Germany of course, lol.

I sometimes think it would be great if good players made a forum guide on “how to play maps”.
Many years ago I did such guide for WOT maps, because, guess what, that game had exact same problem. Good old times of getting ridiculously high scores and exploiting every poorly balanced vehicle out there just for the lulz (f.e. for some time 105mm Howitzer had absolutely 100% accuracy, despite the game claiming it was very inaccurate, and I was using it to pixel-snipe people across the map, haha, good times).

Issue with my english skills not allowing me to express properly what ive meant.

I edited my previous comment a bit including a rant about general “positioning problem” and lack of player education.
You see, even WoT community actually made an effort to improve each other.
With WT? With Gaijin’s “couldn’t care less” attitude (and actively destroying what I liked about this game, which is WW2 content), I don’t think I could start caring myself.

I 100% agree with you on this.

Not a while ago actually someone made a “tracker” of sorts to collect data on hotspots etc. on WT maps. I was interested at first until I realized it required a login and I didnt feel like making a burner account.

None the less, my sole issue with guides like these is, as with most games, once we get to the excel spreadsheet area of optimizing the most meta spot, the game just becomes unplayable.

But I do agree some actual infro needs to be passed down to the playerbase as a whole, because it is simply not possible for three people not to check the most obvious position nor ignore pinging on a map that theres enemy there.

EDIT:
I have even bookmarked it

Problem is that the red spawn in OP’s map has the advantage in that they can cover E4/E5 faster than the team that spawns blue side, because Gaijin in their infinite wisdom decided to cut off an entire avenue to get there for the blue spawn.

Hmm… it was yesterday and few times I got this side around 6.7 - 9.0. If the team let some way for the ennemy to traverse the middle of the map, it’s a issue for both side.

Also once they get to gold spot, they can’t be flanked. Which is not true the other way around. IMO thismap generally sucks, but honestly, most do.

One of the most rubbish maps in the game, everyone gets forced down narrow corridors and it’s too small to pull off a proper flank. I will rejoice if it’s removed someday

Must be your imagination, also 100% of the time helicopters have advantage at that team side, bc they have clear view of the coast and the enemy spawn.

I’m not advocating that the map is balanced, well designed, or anything like that. I’m simply on a win-streak from that side and saying what strategy I’ve seen been working (as the topic title is ‘This side always lose’). Often the key is to let the enemy to over-extend themselves via that advantage and then go to work.

Edit: My actual last game on that map was from the side he is complaining about and I got a nuke (match ended before I could drop it), so yeah, there’s that, too.
