Damn, if they actually implement this mechanic in the navy…
Then we’ll… We have to write a requirement for tanks to also have automatic fire suppression and automatic repairs without the ability to cancel the action. That would be fair. It would be a great idea. Let there be “automation without the ability to cancel the action” everywhere, and everyone will be happy!
(sarcasm)
This mechanic should never be implemented. As I said before, I am extremely against “automation without its abolition.”
That should be fixed with battle raiting reworks, reducing possible ± b.r. ranges and general decompression.
Fixing horrible balancing with damage control system changes is like trying to remove a nail from the wooden plank with a screwdriver. It’s just a wrong tool for the job. Sure, you theoretically can remove a nail with a screwdriver, but you’ll destroy the nail, destroy the screwdriver, destroy the plank and probably injure yourself.
So stop trying to use a wrong tool for the job, it will NOT work out.
even if this is ragebait, and even if implemented will not change or solve any probblem for how tank work. lets make a comparison in a panther how many shot are reqired to kill a jumbo 76 if your answer is you cant because its +0.3 then yes
and after all tnx gaijin to only consider complain if it get big enougth so thin no matther how hard you scream is going to be ignored and naval will be betther for 80% off al lobby that are not the top at any time
The difference in tank than ship is, if you shot at the same spot without damage for year, the tank will stay as it is. But in ship, if you do this, the hull will be damaged and you’ll sunk after 3 compartments.
So, why not to do this for tanks ? 2 hits on front plate and the tank explode ?
its not perfect but betther then before for shure and you cant have 99999999999999999999999999999999999 diferent compartment just to have a betther simulaticion just because you will nuke tecnival performance
Not new to the game, but new to naval and just wanted to throw one more voice into the void on this topic.
After a decade of ARB, naval has felt like a massive breath of fresh air, and I haven’t had this much fun in a VERY long time with War Thunder. When I saw that they were changing how repairs worked, I checked it out on the dev server, since I have only been playing naval for a couple weeks at this point and felt I needed to check out how this might affect things. Anyhow, Holy Heck it’s not even good from a new player perspective, naval is already much less “engaging” in regards to things you need to do compared to air (or ground, which would riot if they had to deal with this for good reason). Without manual repairing you really are just sitting there for 30 seconds between reloads. They need it to be an option, it can even be the default one, but removing one of the ways you interact with your vehicle is not what naval needs in my opinion. I’m sure they will push it through regardless, but it’s really upsetting to say the least, since it feels like I’m just catching the twilight hours of naval…
The funniest thing is that it’s the same devs who made top tier air battles into a piano simulator with how many keybinds you need to have to be effective, how insanely good you need to navigate in all this mess and how much of a sensory overload all the sensors like radar, MAW and RWR give you at literally every single moment of gameplay.
They want to kill naval, there is very few other explanations to their decisions.
Because most american cruisers, most DDs in general and the german light cruisers aren’t already annoying with the shell spamming, let’s make it even easier for them to get kills.
They will never kill naval look at asault mod and after all every so iften we nead a brake from event and the nsval one its alwais a good time gor that
I understand rewarding good shots, but why not also reward proper resource management, this takes away player agency and causes deaths that will not be the players fault, since in the current system you could ignore certain types of damage until it is worth actually dealing with the damage
edit:
I will note that this mistake of a feature and flag issue did make sure that I didn’t buy any packs
I just played a few games in the (honestly horrendous) hms orion after posting this and the only thing that kept me alive was that i could decide to just not repair my 102 mm secondaries
