you have see the 91 to 8 bro how many game you have on naval seems you dont ever touched are an a casual for telling some stupitidy

We’re gonna see a devblog with more justification why they’re doing it this way soon, apparently. But the current system is apparently deliberately designed to remove the possibility of pausing, so you’re telling them to do the opposite of what they wanted. From the original #8 article:
“This is because a player who does everything correctly still might not, for example prioritize the repair system in time because of the need to hold down the hotkey for a few seconds, leading to their ship still being destroyed, which can be frustrating.”
You don’t hold down a hotkey for a few seconds to start damage control, only to stop them: so they’re talking about pausing the thing you don’t want to do in that moment.
The thing you’re saying you want, above (a pause), is the thing they’re saying they want to get rid of here, the possibility of completely stopping a particular type of damage control altogether. You can slow it (with a 4 second toggle delay between different damage control types, about the same as stopping a damage control type before) but you can’t ever stop it. That’s the essence of the new system as they’ve described it.
(Also the rest of you please stop with the stat-shaming (of Razel and others). It’s pathetic behaviour that just makes you look like little children.)
You are holding up a Reddit poll as somehow representative of anything at all??
Lol - own goal there buddy!

yeah reddit
I wonder how many ppl here follow that forum? I don’t - never saw the poll… can’t find it now either…
bro you are trolling are you seriosly go upper to 1 and you check lol
Well done - you fooled my with your picture that mentioned reddit.
I have all Bluewater fleets unlocked and Brit coastal unlocked as well as half the other coastal but I don’t enjoy coastal so that won’t change any time soon.
Additionally I haven’t even voted because I don’t hate the change and just didn’t bother.
is respectable opinion
There is still no good reason to omit an option to use the current method. Same as with the old Arcade aiming. It’s a race to the bottom, the lowest common denominator. There is nothing to learn, nothing to get better at. A race to a 0 skill game. This isn’t a mobile game. I use a keyboard for a reason, as do the majority of other players.
Exactly.
I suspect it’s more about finding ways to reduce TTL/TTK on BBs and BCs without making smaller ships into paper boats. That’s been the ultimate point of most of their damage mechanics experimentation over the last five years. I think it’s something of a futile quest myself to make battleships and destroyers both die at the same rate (at their respective BRs) but “when in doubt, more explosions” is a pretty reliable predictor of what Gaijin will do in any given situation.
So with this change if im at +1 br i can kill an enemy ship and not only get one taped omg the cominity of nrb is going to hate this.
Semblance of balance in naval never !!!
we have a br system remember?
this will still happen lmao
You will still get one tapped if the player on the other side knows exactly your ship ( like how you can ammorack a tank with the infamous 60mm dart even if it has no post pen).
The real problem is that the DPM meta will be even more obnoxious.
For example all heavy cruiser will see their armor nullified as you’ll be able to sink them by just hitting the superstructure.
For experienced players this will not be a major problem ( unless you’re playing japanese heavy cruisers as everything on their superstructure is paper thin ), but for new ones heavy cruisers will only become clunky ships with no DPM in a really bad Br facing both early BBs and late light cruisers ( aka XP pinata ).
Same deal with capital ships that have a slow reload rate ( chosen by the devs even if we provided extensive proof of faster reload) and a lot of superstructure, aka basically all american BBs and the Littorios.
Those ships will be forced to play an extremely passive meta to avoid having their crew drained by never missing bots and high DPM ships that will constantly farm their superstructure even with random shots.
Angling will also lose most of its meaning as players won’t be able to “shield” damage showing the most saturated part of their ships to the enemy, boosting their survivability delaying the repairs on that side.
Compared to other changes this one just scream of “let’s just make them sink faster” and will pair pretty badly with how recently bots started to steal a lot of kills as all their guns fire well beyond coded distance and with deadly accuracy.
You’ll die as fast as now. Maybe even more.
The new system will kill your -1 BR faster in any case
Have fun getting rinsed in your 8.7 BB by someone that bought in a SKR-7. That thing is going to be back in it’s full annoying, overpowered glory with this change.
BRs exist to solve the issue of not fighting things you cant kill, there is no need to add un-realistic mechanics and remove players ability to make choices on how they fight their ship when the issues could be solved with simple decompression.
I’ll also point out with this change I will be more inclined to actively target lower BR ships to eliminate them quickly before they bleed out my crew, where as currently I’m more likely to ignore them to focus on the big ships that can pen my armour as they are a higher threat.
“A BT7 can kill an abram, why not to do this in navy ?”
^^^
This
Basically every experienced player after the update will immediately scan the enemy team and target every fast firing DD or cruiser.
Normal ships that shoot every 9 to 20s ( for cruisers ) and 24 to 45s ( for BBs) can give you time to react and minimize damge.
Fast firing DDs and cruisers that will probably start farming everyone with HE only to abuse the new meta will become prime targets for those who want to enjoy the game.
This will mostly lead to BBs ignoring their own par to focus on clearing out all lower tier ships to have a proper game.
