The unfair nerf of the Eurofighter Typhoon

I’ve had no issues with the Typhoons radar before or after the update, but I also use all radars in the narrowest search modes.

But as Anne’s #1 fan said, I was talking flight performance.

The problem. There is a moderately good chance the nerfs were totally fake. With no supporting evidence. It was almost certainly underperforming in terms of STR, ITR and top speeds and the nerfs most likely increased the degree it is underperforming by.

“I’ts too OP, must nerf, its unfair” is not a good enough reason to nerf something. We had that when BOL was too good on the Gripen and now everything with BOL just sucks.

Typhoon is already hauling around a boat load of nerfs at the moment, giving it more and more nerfs, just sucks, especially when the buffs/fixes are no where to be seen.

That’s the thing. You are NOT supposed to use the radar in the narrowest search mode because you’re not going to see shit. This is why it’s radar sucks. You’re supposed to get a great refresh rate even in the 60 x 8 aspect. Have you seen the Rafale’s or SU30, 34’s radar’s refresh rate? That’s how it’s supposed to work. It’s not even close. Because of that targets can get close to me without me noticing. THAT’S THE PROBLEM. THAT’S WHY IT DOESN’T PERFORM AS GREAT AS IT SHOULD.

This is an air RB discussion, not an air sim discussion.
Air RB you know exactly where people spawn and will generally be, which means the narrow search is more valuable.
Air sim is different, but you didn’t make your post about air sim.

Guess what, i’m also forced to use the narrowest search pattern on the Rafale since it’s so slow, RWR picks up enemies before the radar

The “narrow” search pattern on the Rafale scan almost as much volume as the medium search pattern on the Typhoon, and does it in less than half the time.

Calling the RBE2-AA “slow” is a bad joke.

Do you have documents proving this?

Its all been bug reported and accepted. It was done so before the nerfs happened, which is why nobody understands why it was even nerfed in the first place. By all accounts it was underperforming and they still slapped it with nerfs.

In that case it should be buffed and moved up in BR.

One of the nerfs to the Eurofighter appears to have come from Piiot’s report on the “overperforming acceleration” of the Eurofighter.

EF2000 Overperforming in Acceleration // Gaijin.net // Issues

The other nerf to the Eurofighter in terms of AoA reduction might appear to have been linked or from FeetPics/SquishFace’s report on the Aoa of the Eurofighter even though it was originally not-a-bugged

Eurofighter Over-Performing In Available AoA // Gaijin.net // Issues

Did Eurofighter now get its 25 degree AoA limit? That’s what this report suggested it should get.

Along with the rafale, su30 and f15s

I have no idea. All I know is that the tornado feels more nimble at high speeds now

(Hyperbole, but not entirely untrue)

Currently the EF2000 beats all of those. The ravioli is the closest.

Barely. Given it’s massive issues with it’s radar and stuff. It barely makes my top 3.at the moment.

F-15E and Rafale are still stronger in most regards at the moment until the radar is made usable

Nerfed to make the Su-30 and F-15 viable.
That is the only reason.

Typhoon might get un fked when the F-15EX or Su-35 are added.

Dont forget it also carries the fewest ARHM of any 14.0
And has the worst Radar…throw us a bone Gaijin

There are more important reports about the Typhoon but surely it isn’t that hard giving it a accurate purple tint for the HUD

Yeah, technically.

I think the unfair nerfs. Radar issues. nerfed A2G, even the lack of DL in the HMD are bigger issues than that.

We’ll just have to wait for ASRAAMs to “catch up” in terms of weapon quantities

That’s gunna take them like a year of Dev time to fix. Way too much to expect that fixed quickly.

Agreed, it was more the Typhoon gets crapped on and it has the worst Radar and 6 120s

Gaijin seem to think Typhoon is OP why else would they nerf it every week
