The truth about "unskilled players"

No, it doesn’t show it for monthly performance.
Even in-game you can see stats for player only kills on player statcards depending on what they choose to show

This is player only

If i go ham in harrier on AI with few player kills why am i still blue on shark stat on sessions or whatever metric u want?

Because vehicle-specific stats like the ones you see in session stats DO include AI kills.
Overall monthly/global doesn’t

So let me get this right

If we look at anyone on shark stat it always includes AI

Global all time also includes AI

But month to month they remove AI for global?

So somewhere theres a list of legit PVP kills and a list of AI total kills.

Im struggling to see why they wouldnt have a box to tick - remove AI kills from player

Are you sure?

Pretty sure it doesn’t but I can confirm

Yeah, even in-game there’s a statsheet showing avg KPS against players on your profile.
Statshark just uses that I assume to get monthly/global overall stats

But stats specific to vehicles always include AI

Statshark pulls their data from war thunder.
They cant magically change how war thunder stores this data

But this is tbe part that doesnt make sense
Either they always know what kills are AI or players
Or they dont

I cant see how or why they would only show the real count on a monthly basis

I think it does, a10c has 4.9 kps against ground targets. No way those are legit grb kills

Crashing on takeoff isn’t really a thing that comes to “skill” when flying is usually done by moving a mouse or joystick so that your plane follows a circle on your screen.

For the Clickbait players who just run out that doesn’t come to “skill”, that comes to “inexperienced”; New players who rush directly to top tier without knowing the strategy behind it usually play more aggressive, and one can certainly play more aggressive be it new player or experienced player, but skill decides the outcome of these aggresiveness (Ex, a older more experienced player will know common routes.)

I have yet to experience this as there really aren’t many “meta” vehicles that you can abuse in GRB that can’t be counterbalanced by other vehicles. Unless this is pertaining to Squadron battles because I believe I’ve heard thats an issue?

Literally almost everyone does this? its not even a cheat since it’s done through available game settings that you can get to by clicking three buttons.

Aren’t most of those posts targeted towards “one death leavers” and those who intentionally grief? Fail to see how this fits into the argument.

Yes, I agree with this point, but there is certainly an issue with inexperienced players congesting high tier battles.

It is important to take breaks every once in a while.

I want to say this,

Getting good at a video game is like practicing sports
The amount of time and effort you put towards developing your skill / experience dictates your overall skill and experience
If you want to get good at War Thunder, play the game, if you’re not good at aiming for weak spots, take some time to play arcade at the br’s you’re struggling at. If your struggling with positioning, watch the routes and positions your teammates take.

It is not an issue of skill, but an issue of experience for most.

IMPO in this game it is much more luck then skill. Thats it.

Only things that are truly RNG are what teammates you get and when you get ganked by a bug
Outside there isn’t RNG really

I use skills and experience interchangely. Yes, I play Arcade tanks mostly and I prefer the mode.

Does feel like there is RNG with damage output from some HE shells against planes tbh

Got a direct hit on a P51 with the Dicker Max APHE once and saw the shell explode

Hit

thats how it feels to hit anything with FV4005 HESH. Ive had “hit” and “non penetration” on a chaffee

Don’t even remind me of spading the FV4005 or trying Conway’s HESH

honestly. its more reliable and easier to pixel snipe cupolas with. 10 second faster reload makes the inevitable shell shatter or “hit” of doom easier to swallow.

it also has decent armour for a pre chieftain british medium tank

Experience without an improvement mindset - that is, analyzing your mistakes, not blaming external factors for your mistakes, actively trying to remember and avoid previous behavior that has not been fruitful etc. - is equally as worthless as no experience at all in this game. At least for air i can say so, since that is my field.

Sure, your pure mechanical skill might increase a little, but in order to get to employ that effectively you have to put yourself into the right position in the first place. That’s not easy when you never learned what your real mistakes were because you always just ragequit and moved on to the next match just to do it all over again.

Defyn has a very good video about improvement and the grind in war thunder that i can recommend to anyone even remotely new, or even fairly experienced at air already.
