My two pennies on the debate as to where the Super Etendard should go in GRB is 10.7.
Its got greater weapons payload than something like the Jaguar GR1A. But not necessarily any better in actually delivering said weapons onto target. So that would warrant being 0.3 higher. 10.7 also enables it to actually be used with France’s limited 10.7 lineup rather than uptiering it to 11.0 for a jet that might get uptierd and be DOA.
But to be honest… there is no good placement until they decompress the BRs quite a bit (and stop under BRing soviet SPAAs)

PL-5B is better or just as good depending on usage.
Why does a strike jet need a good k/d? Only fighters and multi-role aircraft with fighter capability should be expected to be competitive in air combat. Some jets are just never gonna be good in the Air RB format, and trying to make them good by way of lowering their BR a load (see Me 262 A-1/U4) or improving their weaponry (Yak 38 and pretty much any jet that got given Aim 9Ls just because they could), which generally comes with a corresponding BR increase, is a recipe for gameplay that’s neither fun for the player nor fun for the people they fight. At least Nuclear Escalation can give some of these aircraft a new lease on life.
The problem that I have with the super etendard is that, due to it’s good ground armement, it’s way higher in GRB than in Air RB, and at this BR it lacks both the flight performance and the missiles for self defense, when most other jets have all apsect missiles, including attackers and jets

Both Étendard variants we have in game are decent in air to air. It is just a matter of fair placement.
They are not supersonic and do not have the payload to destroy a base while they do not have the ability to go for ground targets a A-10 would have for example.
In air matches Étendard is best played as a fighter.
Super Étendard has a inflated Br as far as the airframe is concerned due to Magic 1 and countermeasures.
It’s engine usually is strong enough to compete with all the fighters and interceptors around that Br though it will never be able to dictate the way the fight plays out.
Which I have to admit is fair enough.
