Nothing in-game has a range that exceeds 20km currently due to the game limitation, and even when that limitation is lifted, there’s still the fact that ALL IR guided air to ground weapons are using the AGM-65D/G seeker limitations.
We don’t know what PGM and KH-38 ranges are supposed to be for IR lock, anything we think up will be purely speculation.
One of my problems with higher tier AAs is that they can’t engage multiple enemies at the same time, which would be solved by these new systems.

Personally I really think that AA missiles such as the amraam should be reduced in sp cost as sp cost doesnt affect arb anyways. I get that the US lacks SPAA to counter long range USSR aircraft due to doctrine policies but in my opinion its whack that the amraam only costs a small amount less sp than taking AGM-65Ds which are in no way the counter to the Su-34’s loadout but ignoring that lmao.
The US ground capability is fantastic coming from a USA main, but the br is heavily plagued with lack of ability to counter SU-34’s long range spam (and high speed of the missiles). Hopefully this upcoming update with more nations getting better AA missiles and groundstrike capabilities it will even out.
The SU-34 is stupidly strong because the SAMs it faces are not good enough. Before the latest patch russia had the best SAM but didn’t have the strongest CAS so it balanced out a bit. As it is now they have the best CAS and the best SAM which is pretty oppressive.
Idk, probably not. I used to hate CAS and would just leave once I got CASed but now I joined them and actively try to get into a plane as soon as possible.
For anyone who is still in delusion that CAS is not OP take a look at this. I spawned a plane with 0 kills, killed 7 ground units, spawned another plane with a CAP loadout and killed one plane and finally spawned in a heli and killed 3 more ground targets.
Now CAS mains please tell me how I “earned” the privilege to destroy ground targets with impunity when I got 0 kills in my ground vehicle.
Effort and reward are not proportional. All I did is spot people already shooting at my team, and shot at tanks in the open (which dies as soon as I hit them a few times). This shouldn’t allow me to spawn a plane fully loaded with A2G weapons.

Why would i bring a light vehicle, which most lf the time sits multiple BR’s bellow top tier and is inferior to an MBT in the first place then ?
