So, as the title suggests, these are my opinions after the new BR changes. First of all, I would say these changers have been positive for the game mode. Now there are many planes that are viable again, and this added a lot of variety. I especially loved the introduction of 12.7-13.3 bracket and the 13.0-13.7 bracket.
Now we can finally enjoy again planes like the Flanker, the F15/16C, the JF17 and the Gripen C.
Adding 14.3 and some decompression will never be not good for the game, and the 13.7 br allows you to learn how to top tier without actually going to top tier, so thats anothe huge win for the game.
This said, I would like to see more from the game:
-First of all, if BR rotations right now are very good, BR themselves should STILL be adjusted. Especially from 11.7 onwards, br are all over the place, making some rotations very one-sided. The problems that were there before are still there. F18s(fox1 variants) are too low in br, Flankers (fox1-only) are too high, F14IRIAF and Kfir C.10 are still too low, Su34 is too low, Mig29SMT might need to be adjusted too. What happens is that most of the times 12.7 matches and 13.0 matches highly favor the blue team, while 13.3 matches usually tend to favor red team.
This could be avoided by moving a few “problem” planes up or down accordingly.
Then there is the F2A ADTW problem. I wouldnt know what to do either with that plane. It’s absolutely too good compared to everything else that doesnt have fox3, but if you put it in a fox3 only environment it’s gonna suffer. As of right now, it should at least go to 13.3 in my opinion. It shouldnt have a BR lower than a Flanker. But a plane like that will be hard to balance no matter what, because it’s there “in the middle” in terms of capabilities.
-Second: new maps. Please Gaijin, some maps are GORGEOUS. Lets us fly Spaceport, Rocky Pillars and Falklands in sim. They are beautifully crafted and it’s a shame they’re not available!
Also, on the topic of maps: fix the CARRIERS! They have been broken since Leviathans released. I bought the swiss f18 and I ve basically never landed it on a carrier, because I cant.
-Third: the tendency of games to fill up too quickly on one side and empty too quickly on the other. This happens a lot more the higher you go in br. What usually happens is that a game fills up with with a number of people on each side, then one side begins to quit. The lobby becomes a massacre and nobody else joins on the losing side, hence the lobby dies. Honestly I believe this is a player count problem: if we had smaller lobbies, let’s say from 12.7 onwards, the problem would be mitigated. If lobbies were 6v6, for example, a lobby could always be revitalized, while also keeping the game less chaotic.
-Fourth: fix spawn killing. The higher you go in BR, the more of a problem this becomes. You added air spawn in air RB. Personally, in the fox3 meta, it has become a necessity. Otherwise you just get slammed on the runway, and this makes people quit leading to the problem mentined above, and it’s very, very unfair and unfun for the receiving end.
-Fifth: adjust the difficulty of ground AI battles and convoys for BR where guided weapons arent available.AAA is just too good.Talking about this, another set of planes that should be really re-adjust in br are the ground attackers. Their BRs are also allover the place, however, this topic is too long to address. But just as an example, at 9.7 you can fly the Israeli A4 with 2xwalleys and 3xmavericks, while the chinese Q5 sits at a much higher br with no guided weapons or only 2. This could be a whole topic per se, so I’m not gonna go deeper into it.
-Sixth: this is a wish, more than a fix. But I would LOVE to be able to use choppers in sim. I dont know how, but I would love to. Gaijin, you’re renouncing money by not allowing sim players to use choppers.
