Get your M1A2 trophy before its too late; it will likely be more valuable in the upcoming meta than an actual LFP buff

nah its getting a sep 3 but of course this sub also affects the aussie sep 3 unless gaijin gives du to the sep 3 (they wont) then the aussie sep 3 would be worse than the american one

nah all export abrams arent allowed to have du inserts by law so they only have tungsten i think this is the biggest thing about the destroyed m1a1 that the russians show to own american but it only has tugsten inserts so its irrelevent

the abrams armor itself isnt even correct, let alone a baseline
datamine m1a2 info for cheeks unangled“genericarmorquality” is for KE rounds regardless of type, and we know it roughly has 140mm RHA
so we know that the protection is roughly 350mm of KE unangled but 800mm with 0.9x multiplier (lowball) is around 700mm of KE protection emphasis on UNANGLED, so we dont even get accurate info from the FUCKING CODE, DATAMINED IN DEV (there is M1A2 SEP3 in there)

Is turret ring of Abrams finally able to survive shots from 2S38 or HSTVL or it cannot?
I mean US as an in game nation has far more players and I would argue that the Abrams is also more iconic than the Challenger 2 for most people outside of Britain.

Doesn’t SAP-HE interact with a not different because of code and above certain parameters it’s better than HE?
I mean isn’t that part 2? And other chally threads exist for the Chally 1 & 3… Which heavily splits up posts about the Challenger tank. Whereas the M1 gets this thread, and one technical for all models.
I have no idea but I don’t think there’s any significant difference if the kinetic penetration remains close to zero (like 5mm pen on live). On the dev server, it still one-shots tanks most of the time.

I know it’s nothing super big, but the bug report for the turret cheek armor plates being incorrect got passed to the devs.

So ive also been following this thread for a while and decided to see how much weight DU armor could be fitted into the vehicle (note the calculations are rough and only via computer calculations also not sure if this would be of any help at all)
I looked and found the a 10cm cube of DU can weight roughly 20kg.

I then looked to see how a carbon steel plate with the dimensions (ex): 150L cm x 120W cm x 10T cm (1500mm x 1200mm x 100mm)
Total weight 1.4112 Tons (metric tons)

I then multiplied that number by 2.4x - 2.5x as that is the rough density multiplier i have found to get the results at: 2.4x (3.384 Tons) - 2.5x (3.525 tons) (metric tons)
Someone can get a better and more accurate number for how thick and heavy the DU inserts might be in the LFP of the Abrams tank.
