because nobody cares about realism, especially forum pleers until some part of “realism” fits their political views. and speaking of KH-38, it’s a modular system which can get any seeker if one exists. and, surprise surprise, 9-B-7738 seeker also exists
Yet to be proven that they exist together though.
tbh, fact that they have monopoly is probably just fault of other compaines being pussies. look at how much copies of Tarkov we had. or how much copies of WoT we had (WT in very first was a copy of WoWP lmao)
its only ever mention of existence was a single brochure at a russian arms expo
people do care abt realism lol, otherwise the game wouldn’t be known for document leaks lol… or advertise itself as a hyper realistic vehicular shooter
yeah, pilots can definitely push 14G for long time at supersonic speeds without turning into a porridge IRL. or A2A missiles can be intercepted by mechanical radars like it happens in game. or when M1 gets pierced through with death of half of crew and damaging engine, commander and loader turn on Rambo mode and start fixing engine under enemy fire instead of GTFO. game is full of realism
This is why refraining from engaging with “Great_Paywall” would be good. The coversation is being detracted
I once argued about this with one of the developers. He replied that it was done for counterbalance due to the increased mass in the rear.
agreed, this is how people who have no faith in the argument and just want to argue talks
Bruh
I am probably the last person to defend gaijin when what they are doing is unjustified but this situation is just people complaining about them giving reasonable responses and not caving in to pure speculations or outrage.
If you couldnt tell, I am not opposing your guys’ efforts to increase the hull armour, but I am also not in favour of calling for gaijin to make up a number because some document states “is better” and you havent found anything further yet - explaining it with “oh but its all classified”.
I am currently at the point of going through some M1A2 documents available to me, which I havent seen surface here before - and it’s sadly the same story thus far;
Several cases of “was improved, is better” etc., but no specific values, which we need to get any reports anywhere.
The only thing of value I could find is a claim from an GDLS M1A2 SEP document listing the M1’s upgrade history that includes the following;
Not quite certain for how many hulls its applicable, either 1306 or 786.
But even then, we run into the issue of defining the means of “heavy armor”, aswell as the effectiveness and exact place it was used (a hull is more than just the lfp).
There are some other nothingburgers like “2nd gen DU” and “3rd gen DU”, which also tell us ± nothing, but I’ll keep looking.
yeah fair enough
yes while i do understand your point, we are far beyond the M1A1 upgrade and we have definitive or atleast enough proof to atleast argue for better armor for the SEPV3
Well ingame the vehicle retains the same hull-lfp armour as the base M1 Abrams, thus being able to prove any upgrade (with corresponding values) along the line is already getting us further than we are now.
i think they will outright refuse hull improvements for the m1a1ha, i mean they know its improved (for the sepv3), they are just being really slimy with the semantics of the exact improvements you cannot physicsally have legally.
im sorry for quick detraction but this sub is much nicer to argue than on reddit, i swear to god, half of them don’t get my point and just argue my skill or claiming T90M is one of the WORST mbts
Well if M1A1 HA turns out to actually feature armour improvements compared to the base M1 Abrams, then that would likely be significantly easier to get actual data for than Sep V3.
If the Abrams were Russian, this information would be more than enough to solve the problem.
just like the tiny reload upgrades which took years. yeah
yeah, but we tried to suggest the 1990s hull improvement as a basis for the sepv3 (like 35-40% boost) but they outright denied it (similar to how they did it for a 2a7)
what the perfect firing range condition reload values for russian guns that no one else gets?
