The standards to revise M1A2 SEPv3's armor NEED to be revised and calibrated

Sources are just a gacha by the devs to not add things they dont want in the game, the devs dont want the abrams to have hull armor so that means we are gonna be using the m1a2 SepV1 forever since the V3 is pretty much worse for no reason since your turret wasn’t exactly a weak spot anyway.

Hello @Smin1080p_WT,

I think this chain of events has gained enough traction within the community, and for many of us the continued radio silence is becoming increasingly frustrating.

Could you comment on the proposal? Has there been any developer feedback or internal discussion regarding the situation?

This also seems to be a recurring issue. Many extremely modern vehicles, missiles, and other systems that have only been in service for a decade or less are being introduced without significant improvements, and the line between historical realism and game design is becoming increasingly blurred.

Isn’t it time for the game to adopt a more consistent framework for historical realism when introducing new vehicles, one that prioritizes novelty and balance, rather than relying on claims of realism that neither side can definitively verify? The current framework is simply far too restrictive to work for vehicles or systems with classified data.

Gaijin don’t want questions anymore, they will take any decision they want and look at the community like this

Thank you for your appreciation!

I agree; M1A2 SEPv3 is merely the last straw.

Merkava Mk.4 (Armor), Leclerc (Armor, mobility), Type 10 (mobility), and a long etcetera are examples of tanks which they reject to address or fix for one reason or another, each less logical than the other.

guess they dont care enough to even ask Gemini for an apology letter anymore

if the sep v3 arrive in this state in the game, there is any reason to use it over the sep v1?

Currently, if I’m not mistaken, SEPv3 doesn’t offer any benefits that’d justify it’s use over SEPv2, either the version with Trophy or without. As the increase in weight with no real additional protection that’d make it a game changer (turret cheeks on the Abrams were already well protected), make it essentially a dead weight, which is sort of paradoxical considering how revolutionary (imo), the v3 was for the Abrams platform.

We can assert with practical certainty that no variant of M1’s in service post ~2014 retain the original Hull array. So we know its erronious.

As the CIA straight up declassified select cross-sections in 2014

SPECIAL ARMOR SECURITY CLASSIFICATION GUIDE

N.B: Hull array is on PDF page 20, and that the Turret array is nowhere to be seen, as it is likely still used by Abrams based engineering vehicles or FMS clients.

Because we never really threatened Gaijin’s interests from beginning to end, without affecting their sales of premium packages and attracting new players with the gimmick of AI girl videos, why do they bother to please players?

Can you post the pdf?

Does the link not take you straight to it?

No I just get taken to an image of the front page and nothing else

When I click on it I get a warning notice thst the page isnt secure and the link is blocked so idk. Might be a regional thing?

try this one

Are you cooking something rn?

After looking through, this isn’t really that useful for us tbh, this is exclusively referencing the m1 Abrams not even the m1a1, so we know that at least in this document, they are not referring to depleted uranium by talking about special armour. They are actually referring to chobam I think.

That’s the point, they wouldn’t release said cross sections if they were at all still relevant to anything. So the assumption that the SEP v3 (and probably the V2, too) has the same hull armor array is wrong.

Yeah maybe, but the Swedish trials have proven the hull protect atleast to the m1a2 first variants are the same as earlier m1s , unless the US sent a special export variant with no hull upgrades.

Everything the U.S sends overseas is rated down compared to the ones the U.S utilizes. Why would you send your most advanced tank across the world to be examined by anyone lol even an ally so of course the Tank was an export variant.

There was only a handful of tanks that were truly turned into a sepv3 so for you to think that one of those would be sent to be studied overseas is kind of concerning. I don’t get why you guys are so mean to your American player base. I have spent thousands on this game and all y’all do is bust balls. It’s so irritating.
