They are waiting for the last possible minute to deliver the bad news. They making the time gap since when the dev server closed to the bad news so there is less backlash. But it wont help with backlash

utc+7, I think in a few hours

They are Europe based, so probably friday in an EU timezone.

It’s about 08:15 CEST on the friday, so they still have quite a while to post it.

Day 5: Still waiting for the developers to fix the M1A2 SEPv3 hull armor.

Gaijin are afraid to release this update.

I think the release of this update will be very hot.

bruh, the major update still a long time to happens like 1-2 weeks. If they won’t reopen the dev server

I mean it was still heavily WiP on the dev (see: Leopard 2RI add on armor still being armored glass)

Like many others, I hope that Gaijin will eventually listen to the majority of players and improve the hull armor of the M1A2C.

I’m half hopeful personally. They did listen to the French premium F-16 and changed it to what the community poll requested, confirming feedback reached the devs.

Putting aside the ridiculous bug reporter(we know who you are) answer that all the weight went to the turret, I want to believe that the devs at Gaijin are actually taking the time to review everything, and are doing their best to make an estimation using weight difference.(Which could explain why they’re taking so long to release the devblog)

Like, they know full well adding the SEP v3 without hull armor will trigger community backlash, and I do believe they want to avoid further backlash at the moment cause they’ve already walked a fine line with the BMPT and there’s only a finite amount of BS a playerbase can take until you have a full revolt on your hand.

Yes. The SEPv3, or M1A2C, is very important for Western players because it is essentially the last tank in the U.S. Army and the pinnacle of tank development. There will be nothing beyond it. A lot depends on this tank, which is why Gaijin took so long to introduce it. They know how important this tank is.

At the same time, we are even ready to forget about the M829A3 and the fact that it is actually quite weak. But the M1A2C is very important. The Western nation needs a tank that can withstand hits against Soviet tanks.

But what they showed on the dev server, this M1A2C, is the worst tank of all Abrams.

I hope so too, although I do also think a lot of people expect how much they’ll improve the LFP and overhype themselfs.

I think 500mm vs KE on the LFP is the most realistic expectation, which would protect it against lower BR stuff but (rightfully) won’t make it strong enough to stop most 12.3-12.7 MBT rounds.

It’s still a top 3-4 top tier dart.

If they had at least increased the armor of the LFP to 500 mm, that would be great. At least then it wouldn’t be penetrated at any angle.

Yes, the M829A3 is the best shell that cannot penetrate Soviet tanks. Let’s not forget that the weak Soviet 3BM60 can penetrate the Abrams even through its silhouette.

Oh no, the BVM and T-90M retain their single advantage while they are already considerably worse than the Abrams overall. The horror.

Even currently, SEPs >>> BVM/90M.

weather its there only advantage or not it doesnt change the fact that relikt is performing very unrealistically

Hey Guys, I think you should change the meaning of that, don’t you think?

It doesn’t matter. The point is that all powerful NATO shells are simply ineffective against Relikt armor.

Was M829A3 even made to counter Relikt? IIRC M829A4 was made to do that

Yes, that’s right. The M829A4 was developed to counter ERA Relikt. But it’s not in the game. So essentially, NATO has no shell against Russia’s top-tier MBTs.
