The standards to revise M1A2 SEPv3's armor NEED to be revised and calibrated

It’s also annoying how bullets lose no penetration from ricocheting because I will be almost hull down when a dart bounces the ufp and pens my ring or when a bmpt sprays and ricochets through the ring and kill me instantly

yeah i know, but tbf the abrams will bounce basically all rounds on the ufp

My plan is just to use the trophy Abrams to kill bmpt with better turret ring and aps for missiles

yeah, currently there is zero reason to use the sepv3, its just a heavier sepv2 with no benefits for the massive increase in weight, not to mention you still have the sep v1 aswell.

Also there was a report filed on the bmpt not having internal and external ammo belts that was accepted which means there is a slim chance that hitting external ammo will be an instant kill

probably gonna be released with the update lol

lol not even sep v3 receiving better hull armor than m1 abrams dev servers closed

The SEPv3 still has one thing going for it, looks.

That is the only reason why I’m still going to play the hell out of the SEPv3.

Yeah but we should not accept this so easily. It’s an absurd at many levels.

Oh I don’t disagree, I’m also not accepting anything just yet. However there is nothing we can really do until we see the Abrams dev feedback article.

I mean it’s debatable if there is even anything we can do at all, but even less so before that article.

They certainly are taking their sweet little time to say anything. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.

Except it wouldn’t be a new mechanic. APFSDS shells used to shatter on highly angled surfaces, and APDS/APCR shells already do, so it would just be a matter of copying that code over, and we all know gaijin is really good at copying and pasting.

Take a look at the book: M1 Abrams in Action, Squadron/Signal Publications, Armor Number 26. ISBN 0-89747-222-5. pages: 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23. https://vdoc.pub/download/m1-abrams-7qved967guu0

I’ll add more links if I come across any other books with this kind of information.

These are honestly like the worst people, they get something out of this from gaijin. Instead they just half-ass their job and leave us with broken vehicles.

There is ZERO QA at gaijin entertainment

Gaijin has a reputation for treating criticism as something to be resisted rather than seriously considered. Instead of admitting when a decision was unpopular or flawed, the company is doubling down, defending its position, and hoping the backlash fades. Only when the consequences become significant whether through player outrage, negative reviews, declining engagement, or financial pressure does it tend to reverse course or make changes. Even then, the company rarely frames those changes as an admission of being wrong, preferring to present them as adjustments or new initiatives rather than acknowledging that players’ concerns were valid from the beginning. Moderators do not take my comment down. I want to say I genuinely love warthunder. Ever since I was little I have been obsessed with military vehicles and technology. Your ground and naval mechanics are like no other and I actually appreciate this game. It is my escape. Please stop seeing criticism as a threat; your community is responding and wants to make this game better. Please work with your community. It makes me sad and disappointed what has been happening recently and I dont want to see the game I love die. Please listen.

This is more or less what happened with the naval arcade changes. Massive naval community backlash that the devs utterly ignored, never gave any responses to, and are now quietly implementing more naval changes in arcade. If you think the Abrams’ armour situation is bad, just look at the Naval Arcade Mode is Dead thread that has never had a single dev response in a year and a half now regarding their transition to a point and click aim system.

Massive and naval in the same sentence.
