im kinda expecting them to release it on the Friday night if it is all negative so they can hide behind devs being out for the weekends and such leaving the poor community managers to just repeat the post over and over again lol.

They can make bug reports, threads to complain about those issues.
So I have read like a million documents… and I have to say Red Effect’s youtube video gets the job done the most, yes there are multiple credible sources to increased armor AND incorporating DU armor. Sadly it is very difficult for them to actually model the armor increase as they have literally nothing to base it off of except for the weight increase. I agree with Red Effect’s idea in using the weight to estimate the amount of armor. Everything inside the abrams accounts for the increased weight except for around 2.7 tons(if im not mistaken) maybe we could turn 2.7tons and convert that to kg or pounds of DU and then spread it evenly across the hull and cheeks. I feel this would be the most fair and closest accurate modeling gaijin could possibly do without seeing other documents that are as of now and probably for a long ass time classified. It is just about how gaijin wants to model MM DU to RHA MM equivalent. Depleted uranium is around 3 times more effective than RHA per inch. So say you had sloped RHA and it was 300MM thick at angle, DU would be 900MM thick at the same angle and amount

Correction I forgot about some stuff on documents. I would say do not evenly distribute to cheeks and hull; strictly put it on the hull because 2.7t of DU is 4.4 cubic feet. Not to forget NEA and HAP are a thing so it is proven that DU is introduced and armor HAS increased.

Its quite late so its probably gonna be tomorrow, just as expected. post it as late as possible as to not recieve feedback in time for the update release, so no hull armor upgrades

One thing that should not even be discussed is the KE Dart penetrator physics. The Missing shell shatter Mechanic for High Angles Real-world physics dictate that when a hyper-velocity dart strikes an armored plate at an angle past 80–82 degrees, the sideways forces cause the rod to instantly snap or disintegrate. It dumps its energy into the air as fragments Gaijin’s physics engine does not properly simulate structural stress and disintegration on the Abrams UFP. Instead of simulating a 2-foot-long metal dart bending and breaking, the game treats the round as a perfectly rigid, indestructible point of kinetic energy and this is not like up for debate whatsoever it is known physics but gaijin lets a 60 year old apfsds with 350mm of pen butter straight through. And the abrams UFP isnt 80-82 its 83. Any shell should shatter at that angle. And even when somehow it ricochets it just goes straight into the turret trap or gun mantlet. That is one major issue that if they would fix they wouldnt even need to add armor no ke penetrators are going through.

I would say that if gaijin still refuses a lfp upgrade they should at least add shatter mechanics and fix ricochet penetration values

Absolutely agreed. If gaijin isnt willing to add more armor, fixing shell mechanics will already do the trick as pretty much any dart hitting UFP will shatter and do nothing.
gaijin is not going to add a whole new mechanic the day the before the live server update lol

My strat is to use the m1a1 hc to dig a hole so that the dirt blocks and covers the lfp and turret ring on larger maps like maginot line

No I understand that but i meant more if gaijin isnt willing to add the armor maybe treat the UFP 83 degree physics as proven in real life.
