If they moved the soviet Flanker down a BR what BR would suit it because on a personal note it suffering right now at its current BR its a aircraft without Fox 3 missiles that has to fight aircraft with Fox 3 missiles like what the hell? I understand the flanker has good speed and mobility and can be agile if it wants but you cant get your best missiles to work anymore if people will just throw a fox 3 at you. You would have to abandon the radar lock and try to run away from it so in my personal opinion the su27 would suit its original BR better or give the soviet flanker two fox 3 tto mmake it a fair fight

To be completely frank, Russian and China are both presently strictly worse than America and NATO friends at top tier right now. Honestly this extends to any plane that’s not facerolling with spamraams right now. There’s still dogmatic screeching about the 27ER, but to be honest a blue team bird is your better choice in every respect. This is clear as day by just looking at the sim lobbies.
If you want to try to make use of the flankers in the current environment, your best option is pray that the matchmaker doesn’t send you to Sinai or Golan Heights (good luck with that), then stay low and terrain mask behind mountains and hills until you can flank from the side and sucker punch unsuspecting people with the 27ER, 27ET, or in the case of the 27SM the R-77. You’re still at a disadvantage with the antique radar and 10km ACM mode though. You can partially mitigate the ACM range problem by first acquiring a lock with IRST before swapping back to radar, but this isn’t completely reliable.
Aside from that you just need to pray that gaijin dials back the american bias that’s been oppressive since the addition of the F-14, and finally adds some balance in the future via new equipment and BR changes.

No, the reason it’s 13.3 is the R-73s and any radar missiles which can’t be removed.
But am stock af rn all i have is 2 R27R and I bearly managed to get the extra R73

The same terrain masking tactics apply. It’s just that you need to get a bit closer to use R-73s and 27R’s effectively. It all will come down to the terrain on the map. If there are plenty of canyons and mountains then you might be able to sneak all the way into missile range and shoot someone from an angle that they weren’t expecting attacks from. If you get sent to Golan Heights or Sinai then there is nowhere to hide and you’ll just be stuck notching spamraams all day. Hate those two maps so much and I wish that I could ban both of them simultaneously.
I used these tactics to spade the Su-27SM back when we had to grind to tier 4 modifications to get the first SARH on the plane.

run the absolute minimum amount of fuel that you can get away with, and setup your throttle controls so that you can more easily set yourself at ~102% afterburner instead of 110%. You want to keep your weight down as much as possible since any turn fight will require you to put absolutely EVERYTHING into making the tightest 1-circle turn as possible to get off your R-73 HOBs shot. That’s your only hope in a knife fight since everything except the F-4 ICE and the tornadoes will ultimately out turn you once your window to make that 1-circle off boresight attack closes.
