Also shifting bomber rewards around would be swell.
Convoys should give most ticket impact and most score given they’re nearly suicidal to take on and require coordinated teamwork with WW2 aircraft (and you WILL incur casualties)
Similarly, boat convoys.
Ground battles should also provide good score and ticket loss (this is kinda true at WW2 tiers to the point I started strapping bombs to my bf109s and the like to try and get more consistent wins)
Bases could be more complex and fun to engage (create value for using bunker buster vs napalm vs carpetbombing, giving each their own niche) - maybe even give us railways for train attacks!
Airfields should have the least reward given their miniscule impact on match outcome.
Only if there was a suffecient number of other things to attack. I’ve found myself in enemy airspace, with a belly full of bombs, and all the bases I was going for were taken. So having the AFs to go lob the bombs at is rather nice. It would be frustating if the rewards for that were reduced without a corrosponding increase in other objectives to replace it.
(though im fairly certain the Zombers farming the event could easily be dealt with without directly reducing the rewards)
If im in something like a Tonka with 5x Mk13s. My choices are:
Bomb bases
Attack naval targets
Bomb airfields
Convoys are way too dangerous to attack without doing SEAD first and battlefields are okay, but still not overly safe.
If the bases have been all destroyed, which does happen quite often and there are no naval targets to attack im only really left with attacking the AF. If AF rewards were reduced notably, then I might as well just ditch those bombs and RTB.
But they could add:
SEAD installations (like radar towers)
Different base types, including ones that take a lot of pounding to destroy
Rework convoys so that attacking them was actually possible without firing long ranged FnF
etc etc
Though AFs are a primary target for a lot of aircraft in war and I would love to do JP233 runs in ASB
Can you show me the reports of a constant stream of SU´s, F4´s, F111´s Mig´s, diving on those airfields in suicide missions??

And even in WW2, most of the bombers got shot down from the AF AA before they were even close to drop…
2nd thing that happens if you bomb the airfield… The fighters leave the match, because they have to wait for 5 minutes to be reloaded, repaired or refueled…
So they create a new lobby. And that´s how you get ghost lobbies with Zombers. Lobbies that Gaijin has to pay for. They use server resources… For what? 4 Bombers farming endless points???
And this has to be stopped.
Set airfield bombing to zero points. You still can bomb it for “tactical” reasons, like every Zomber tries to explain his suicide farming…

Bombing airfields is legitimate IRL. Strafing aircraft before they even take off is legitimate. We even have tons of footage on youtube from P-47 guncamps shooting up german aircraft before they even took off and cratering airfields to cripple german air defence during and after Normandy.
Suicide missions are dumb, but IRL attacking the enemy airforce before they’re able to scramble and respond was one of the most effective contributors to ensuring ground successes.
Well, obviously they didnt do that, outside of the Japanese attacking Carriers in WW2. But there are plenty of examples of things like Tornado Gr1s doing 500ft level attacks over AFs during Op Granby or Mosqutios waiting for AF lights to be turned on to strike something landing
Just because people do that suicide ramming to farm score for events doesnt mean ALL ground attack aircraft should be punished.
Air Sim remains the only place viable for those aircraft and AFs being attackable targets remain a key part of that.
That isnt true. In fact the RAF was nearing a breaking point and the only reason they werent essentially shut down is becaue the luftwaffe switched from atatcking airfields to attacking cities. This allowed the RAF to rebuild AFs.
and until HE-VT was introduced. AAA was actually extremely ineffective against bombers, especially if they chose to fly at higher alts.
Most bombers were shot down by fighters not AAA on the ground.

Eh… imo, the better way to do it is just to have the score not be added until after 1-2 minutes, if you die in that time. No score. If you survive, you get what you get now.
Again, I dont see any reason why mud movers should be punished univsersally. Heck. fairly certain we were in a match the other day together. I was in the AMX A-1A, lofting bombs at the AF and then hunting things on the way back to base. Should I be punished for playing the aircraft as it was intended to be used? I also dont recall there being any bases active as they kept being taken long before I got close.
For this at least, my thinking was to make bases similar to airfields with submodules and stuff. Give special value to precision vs carpet attacks and such.
Bombers are not the ones causing the problem, zombers are. Ground attack aircraft are useless in all modes except GRB (which is situational, and not everything works there), and ASB. Just remove bombers from the game if you don’t want them in air sim, because that’s the only place where they are actually good.
Why should an entire class of planes be punished because people happened to use certain planes from that class for abuse.
Especially as one of the most commonly used aircraft for the AF ramming is actually a fighter. The F-4.
Sure the F-111 has taken over since its introduction being the main aircraft used, but prior to that it was always just F-4s and is still heavily used. Was in a match the other day which was 8x Japans F-4s all doing it.
To set the points for airfield bombing to zero is a cheap, simple and effective solution for a huge problem in Sim. It´s 1 little number in the code.
Do you really think, Gaijin spends much effort in sim… NO, like we all know.
So a cheap, simple and effective solution is the only way to solve this problem…

No. The F4´s were rare these days. Most were F111 complaing about u shot them down with a radar missile. They left after 2 kills and opened a new ghost lobby

Plz don´t misunderstand me. I like your ideas. And even I would love to see more interesting bombing targets for the Bombers.
For example: The F117. A lovely little thing. Add precision targets (like the costal artilleries) to the maps. Hard to kill. But with the guided Bombs a great target.
i really would love to see all groups of aircraft fighting together. I also have so many Ideas.
But like I said, right now, I would love to have lobbies without any Bombers at all.
It all come to the size of the map. You can fit more inside, planes that arent really ment to fight other planes can hide batter and fighter can hunt them or fight each other. For WWR2 is map Vetnam big enoght, but toptier? I personally fly hight around MACH 2 and at that speed you cross the map in minutes.
With bigger maps, may come more interesting things.
But if something should be added now, I would love to have a AntiAir defence at the bases, some weak Ground-to-Air missails to spice things up, just missails that can be outmanuverd by any plane so it isnt hard, but also not something free.
The bases use to have Gepards and whilst gaijin sucks at tuning AI controlled SPAAGs, it added a real challenge to attacking bases. Then they were removed entirely and went back to being really dull.
and yeah. SEAD would be really fun. Just so long as it was tuned right. There is a fine line between challenging and impossible
