I didn’t say I had a problem with the JAS39C, and as a consequence I’m not sure you understood what I said correctly - you do, on the F-4F, have active radar missiles, and so it is possible to make it work. It’s not like we’ve thrown you in with just AIM-9Js.
My point is more while “yes, it sucks that Germany has a Phantom, the disparity is not as bad as it could be” - you have radar missiles, you have a reasonable radar, you have passable agility and a workable countermeasure count.
As I said earlier, there is not much that can be done, as Germany does not have another indigenous platform until the Eurofighter, and can only really call on an F/A-18 from the Swiss or Canada.
I’m more bothered about the fact that people are choosing to make a massive deal out of Germany only having a Phantom, when there’s been far more egregious examples of powercreep or neglected trees (Italian Tree before Apex Predators comes to mind, Sweden before the Gripen, etc etc)
Yes it’s not ideal to have only a Phantom, no, it is not unredeemable, and no, there is not a whole lot anyone can do about it. It could be much worse, you could be asked to fight a F-14 with a Phantom… or an F-104.

if gaijin make pl8b for j8f instead of pl8，it seems like there is no problem in 12.3. But there is no pl8b in the game.

Bro , As long as PL-12 is implemented in J-8F, PL-8 in the inner pylon is destined to be deleted.In fact, PL-8B alone is not sufficient.The inner PL-5 dedicated pylon requires a PL-5E or larger missile.
Something can be an issue whilst other things are also an issue.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m just surprised at the order of magnitudes of complaining in comparison to when various other trees were left with dead/unviable platforms and no one batted an eyelid.
Though the fact the KWS only gets 9L is definitely a traversty
Because those various other trees being dead is like your average Tuesday.

i think best way to make the f4f ice a bit better is giving it the 9L/i aim9l with irccm and we already got missiles with irccm so it shouldnt be hard to copy paste some codes and people wouldnt complain either

This can be easily fixed with AIM-9Li and PL-8B.
I don’t know if you have done any research, but you should recheck your claims cause F-4 is a 3rd Generation, F-100 is 2nd Generation & F-86 is 1st Generation.
- srry for saying it but u’re 110% stupid cuz F-4F ICE and J-8F are 3rd gen fighters and idk if they’re even 4th gen since they got super upgraded with many modernized things.
- lol what? F-4F ICE has AIM-9L/I which is literally AIM-9L but with IRCCM, the main diference between it and the 9M is that 9M doesn’t have smoke trail.
- yeah, they have bad engines and flight performance compared to all other 13.0 jets, but they have very good radars and carrying fox-3s at the same BR as a Su-27 is wild, especially when u can reach mach 2 (not like that ugly AV-8B Plus).
- lol ofc, put the F-4F at the same BR as the MiG-23MLD so it can abuse AIM-120A being 10000000 times better than R-24R which is basically the best SARH missile at 11.7
- lol ofc again, carrying fox-3s and fighting planes with fox-3s is unfair cuz my fox-3s are carried by a fat mach 2 american cheeseburger plane and my comunist enemies have 12 missiles that are actually worse than mines and whatever none of us will launch them at 70km.
