agility is only as good as about a spitfire at 4.7. The spitfire matches you or exceeds you in performance, the yaks will as well.

yes, i can see what you saying but also the 4.7 spitfire turn better than the lf mk9 the 5.7 one but has way less power but this only able to out turn the re2005 without flaps and its really small margin you could barely call it advantage but if you use flaps and doesn’t need to be landing flaps or take off flaps only combat flaps only bleed a small amount of energy but give you good 2 dgr seconds turn if my memory doesn’t fall me and you will beat the 4.7 spitfire with ease and the re2005 bleed way less speed than spitfire mk9 and the LF mk9 only can beat re2005 because its has monster engine but in the first 2 or 3 turns the re2005 will always turn better but lf mk9 engine is better across all altitude until you go above 5km and its not because you start gaining power its because the lf mk9 lose power and deliver almost same power as the db605 at 6km and up and yeah no one fight at 6km as much as lower altitude so yeah re2005 is like in middle of both spitfire mk9 and LF M
and please for the love of God don’t mention yak3 in performance with the re2005 you will literally 1 turn yak3 yes yak3u has the better chance but still the turn is just too big of difference to let yak3u win vs both experience players
tbh i like this lets keep this post alive for longest time possible lets keep it going guys re2005 is my favourite Italian plane so it would really be cool if we can fix it and would be really sad if stay like this

man I love the db605 but calling a 1477 max hp engine a “monster” at 6.0 is not something I can agree with, 4.3? you’d have a point but it’s not uncommon to be over 2000hp here, and the main thing holding the plane back is the limited top speed (due to the elliptical wings) which I THOUGHT THIS PLANE WOULD FIX. honestly like we’ve said it’s only deserving of this br if it gets buffed, and while you can kill the yak3u in the first 1 or 2 turns if you can’t get shots on target with your low velocity guns or they just do nothing (far from uncommon with mg151s…) you’re utterly dead. same with the Merlin spitfires you’re better at high speed turning but you’ll run out of altitude and die if you mess up and can’t get shots on.

i meant the 495mm monster because the 605 in it has 1810hp instead of stander one of 1477hp
re2005 literally would beat LF mk9 any day of the weak in turn fight like it has better turn across all speed flight with flaps and the only reason why the LF mk9 can beat it is because it has the 1950hp engine below 3km and can generate more energy faster to keep up with slight turn advantage that re2005 has and basically can’t really stall other than that LF mk9 bleeds speed more than 2005 and turn worse across all speed maybe i need to fact cheek it more and the mg151 work fine with me and actually the one of my favourite gun to use but some time you get “hits” here and there but only if you can have like more than 1 second of time on target 3 mg151 is more than sufficient to down any plane you face and yeah maybe they have some of worse ballistic but if you can learn how to aim them the work just fine not the best not the worst and way to much ammo tho
As someone that has quite literally tested this, including doing duels, no it would not.
The LF Mk.IX heavily outrates the Re.2005. All it needs to do to win is hold S. Using flaps on the 2005 does not help because they slow the plane down further while still not increasing turn rate enough to match the Spitfire’s.
Add on to that being faster and climbing better and the 2005 has no chance.

if you down hit me up and i know LF mk9 can beat re2005 but not with ease the turn of re2005 will get guns first and has mor guns too 5 vs only 2 20mm on spitfire so yeah don’t ever say i said the LF mk9 5.7 spitfire is weak LF mk9 is 5.7 power house but in turn fight with both somewhat equal players the re2005 will has advantage getting first shot + more guns
I’ll take 2 20mm with real shatter than 2 Italian 12.7s (these are sparklers) and 3 mg151s all day lol

Well. and they’re better now compared to how they were years ago. My stats in sim with the Folgore (german tree) are terrible just because I didn’t get nothing but hit hit hit hit hit.
Now even the mg151’s are crap
