I hate the fact that they’ve moved 2005s to 6.3 in GRB, 6.0 lineup was awesome with it.
The fact they moved both, Re.2005 VDM is just a better Re.2005 with better powerplant and multipliers!
Yet they send both to 6.3?
Yes both, they were very useful as CAS for 6.0 lineup, now the only option to use them is to uptier them with 6.7 lineup.
Re.2005 (TT) now has extra mods, which means I need to spade it once again.
It’s a fucking misery, the mindless swarms of bearcats and undertiered superstangs are now a 100% chance to meet unlike before where you could be spared in a full downtier and had a chance to have fun for once.
If they are on your team they leave you with no kills, if they are on the enemy team they swarm you and F8F can keep up with you if your pilots blacks out in they aren’t aced.
And the new L-39 didn’t make it better, either dead weight because they ground pound or simply lure half your team of brainless teamates down and leaves you alone.
Can’t see how VDM has any better, oh wait probably not because they went extinct, I don’t see them anymore.
Oh yeah the re.2005 rudder compresses now, another nerf since prob BVVD lost to one in their Yak-3U
Hey! Remember to tap “w” for half a second to reset the G limit!
The Re.2005 has the single best instant pull in the entire game (for props) so remember to use that to get out of the guns of people that try to boom and zoom you, then use the flaps (if needed) to kill them while they try to run away. It’s not easy, but it can work reliably vs US props.
However the Serie 0 will lose any kind of sustained fight because of the inferior p/w so you need to manage your energy very well. The VDM is much better because it has a competitive p/w ratio that gives you a sustained turn that only second to than the LF mk.9 and the zeros.
I’m saying it’s good or easy, just that you can do something against US planes if they don’t just run away. The real problem (in my opinion) is the horde of spitfires and yak-3Us/vk
Yeah even with taps to reset the stamina I barely come out alive, its just that somehow I am a magnet to F8Fs, they just target me like crazy. Im still like 2 bars shorts of even filling out the Stamina stat.
Yak-3Us just keep getting clapped in head-ons, can’t wait to see it at 5.0 in 2 months
Spitfires still think they can outrate me on spirals, so that’s solved at least.
F8F players are… something. They see you slow and (generally in the first contact) lowerish so they just dive on you since you’re the first guy they see who they can catch.
The Re 2005 VDM should be 6.0 seing as it does not compare to smth like the spitfire lf mk9 which is at a lower br. Seeing as the VDM version of the re 2005 is inferior to the normal re 2005 both in bomb capacity as well as in overall stats i think 6.0 would make way more sence. That would also help make it somewhat more “unique” compared to the tech tree version as it would be playable with 6.0 tanks like the Tigris R3, leopard 40/70 m18 etc.
Many props including the Re 2005 ones and the spitfires are way higher in BR than they should because noobs keep turnfighting them in ARB when they shouldnt, inflating their stats.
Gaijins system of balancing via 1.0K/D is flawed.
I don’t think this change will be reverted, but I wish it would.
Ain’t VDM got the MW50 boost adding 300hp?
Only logical reason of lower stats is the people who grind the tree do better than people got it from BP without prior knowledge even though VDM is better. If one must go lower that one should be the TT one.
yup, it’s the same powerplant swap that separates the Bf 109 G-2trop/ Bf 109 G-2(Romania) / Bf 109 G-2 (Italy) from Bf 109 G-6
VDM to 6.0 and TT one at 5.7 would make more sense then. After all Yak-3U and griffon spitfires are still 5.7 but to be frank, i don’t think it will ever happen. People should wish them stay where it is as Zero just got moved to 5.7 in last patch and it will be likely 6.0 in next patch or two…
While I am not exactly happy with the VDM being at 6.3, it really should not be lower than the tt one. It is true that the VDM is worse than the LF Mk.IX in any kind of sustained fight, but I’d say it would be better for the LF to go up. Though I don’t think the VDM would be broken at 6.0.
The Serie 0 should 100% be at 5.7 maximum, I’d even say it should be 5.3 considering it has the same FM as the Spitfire Mk.IX which is at 4.3… but I guess italian plalyers are just not dumb enough to tank the statistics so that gaijin would lower the BR.
Yes. As such the VDM is quite a bit better than the Re.2005 serie 0. However the compression really hinders it’s ability to fully use its energy advantage. Funnily enough, the Re.2005 compression is historically accurate… the problem here is that all other planes (with few exceptions) do not compress nearly as much as they should. All Zero models are the worst cases for this thing. If they started compressing at 400km/h (like they did irl) they wouldn’t be such a pain to balance and wouldn’t be forced to be at 5.7, but the devs are choosing to ignore this for unknown reasons
I always had trouble facing re2005s, they feel like a mixture of a 109 and a spit lf mk9. Definitely not the best but certainly among the best. They’re always above and will dive better than p47s, the only way to defeat them is to third party them. People just love to repeat once and again that its a bad plane, it’s just that they don’t want to be different I guess. G56s are horrible compared to them as far as my engagements go.
Some tips for fighting the Re.2005 serie 0.
First of all, how to escape? Simple: dive down and then go horizontal. The plane has a ripspeed of 800km/h and it will slow down very quickly in horizontal flight since it’s quite slow.
The Re.2005 serie 0 has amongst the worst climb rate of all single engine fighters of 6.0 and 6.3, however you need to remember that it has a german engine so it doesn’t lose much hp with altitude. If you climb optimally in most 5.7 to 6.7 planes you will be on top of it, or at the very least at the same altitude. You should always be at the same or higher energy level than the Re.2005 at the start of the match. If you aren’t, you can simply dive down and climb again: you will end up on top.
Alternatively, remember that starting from 600km/h IAS it compresses a lot. If you start a dive, when you reach a bit beyond that speed you can try to do a reversal. Warning: below 550km/h IAS it has full maneuverability so if you reach it and the Re2005 is still on your 6 you better dive again!
Once you have the energy advantage, either boom and zoom it or energy fight. Do not just try to turn with it since it has a very good turn radius, but go for wide vertical spirals or loops. Because of the poor power to weight ratio, it will stall out pretty quickly. However you MUST BE CAREFUL: since it has good flaps and low stall speed it will be able to get a shot on you if you do these maneuvers too close to it. You must always try to be at least 800m/1km from the Re.2005 when you have it on your 6.
Obviously this doesn’t matter when you’re the one on his six.
In short: keep it fast or keep it lengthy (time wise) and you will always outclass a Re.2005 serie 0. Go close and slow and you will die.
I need reggiane 2006 now
Hey u stole that title from me bro
And i respect it.
