So, that new feature added in the December update allows you to play rolled up by random vehicle from the lower BRs from yours top to resolve the problem of one-life playing or simply prolong the battle.
I play top-tier ground battles and have 6 crews in my presets:
As I mentioned before, this feature selects a random vehicle. It rolls the vehicle without any modifications, even if you already own that vehicle and have purchased modifications for it.
Usually in battles it looks like this (note FlaRakRad):
The problem is that sometimes the game can randomly select a vehicle that’s already in your preset list. And the rolled vehicle REPLACES the duplicate vehicle you picked by yourself.
This means that in this battle, if you want to play with this vehicle, you’re forced to pick up a stock version of it, despite the fact that you have modified version of this vehicle in your preset.

It’s clearly a bug and it wasn’t intended to be like that. It doesn’t bother me too much (at least not me), but I’m pretty sure the same thing could happen even with fewer vehicles in your preset.
i was going insane literally. i have 3 type 90’s in lineup and they give me a stock one also BUT it replaces my spaded type 90 ammo with heatfs…and im like wtf. its ultra annoying and this thing should be an option if you want free vehicles in your lineup. i hate this.
AND even if your lineup crew slots are full they still put 2 free tanks…
@Smin1080p_WT hello! Sorry to pin and bother you, but this is a quite big thing and it appears the bug report (linked in a comment here) did not bring enough attention from the devs to solve this problem.
Do you know if they are aware, and, in case they are not, forward this issue to them?
Expect zero fixes due to the fact that the bug is not related to a premium or a crap response that attempts to justify the issue lol

Gaijin never cares about these issues. They only care about how much money they make this year, not about the players 😪
Their updates always bring more new problems. They never choose a compromise and instead force you to accept it… Just like last time when bad weather forced players to take off from the airport, giving no additional options to the players. It was only modified after players complained about it on the forum, and now very few players actually use this feature in the game. Most of the users are still beginners who don’t know how to turn it off.

It doesnt really make any difference since the 23-4M4 plays about the same but it does get annoying after a while.
Remember guys, its not a bugged premium so we’ll probably have to wait another year.
