Great idea, add weapons that will hard-counter non-Pantsirs, while also not really hurting the Pantsir at all
Certainly a better idea than having a game where only 1 missile is properly strong against SPAA

The problem isn’t that a super strong AA is added(Good thing if everybody gets that). The problem is that a super strong AA is added to a single nation, a nation that didn’t need it at all since they already had the best SACLOS AA in the game anyway.

The solution is to solve the problems that led to the introduction of the new Pantsir:
Nerf helis (give them proper IR and radar signatures and nerf (L)DIRCM) and buff non-Pantsir anti air vehicles

Russia had the best anti DIRCM AA before(Pantsir S1), now they got an upgrade of it.
Certain nations have literally 0 tools to deal with the Mi-28NM + KH-38 combo. Israel and Japan both have nothing to shoot down the Mi-28NM. Germany is absolute CBT with the Flakrak, no need to explain why.(IRIS can’t hit the Mi-28NM)
Mi-28NM kills AA, open up the way for KH-38 carriers to wipe out what’s left of your team.
Go look at REDFOR top bracket sim winrate. They had 73% for an entire month after the LMUR was added. Why? Because CAS is much more prevalent there since you can first spawn it coupled with nobody diluting the RU CAS.

Sure those are of course better options but neither nerfing helis nor buffing bluefor SPAA makes Gaijin money. Adding new EW planes with HARMs does.

Adding (H)ARMs will only lead to GRB further deteriorating and Gaijin adding even more powerful anti air vehicles, which potentially includes a USSR/Russian AA that outperforms blufor AA yet again
While again, the Pantsir won’t really be bothered at all

Gaijin will do what Gaijin always does. They’ll add what creates hype and money, even if balance is in the gutter because of it. BVVD said it best during his latest video QnA:
‘We will continue exactly on the same path because people play the game. If people weren’t happy with it, they would stop playing War Thunder.’

But I do agree Pantsir was and still is the best SACLOS SPAA and the new addition wasn’t needed.
All these helis are bullies. It’s just the fact that Russia by default has the best tools to deal with them. So you know you’ll be fighting inferior AA when you queue with Russia. And the fact the LMUR is incredibly deadly, while at times you can fire 3 JAGM at a BUK and watch it survive.
All these AAs with 8 missiles like the Spyder or Chinese AA with only 1 ammo box sure are totally suited to fight off 1-2 Mi-28NM showing up. Trust. You intercept the first rain of missiles, then what? Hide somewhere hoping you don’t die, J out, die in spawn, go to a cap with your wheeled building?
Let alone a sad bag like the Flakrak having little chance to survive as long as you fire 3-4 missiles at it.
Su-30SM2 worse than F-18 and F-16? This has to be absolute ragebait.

No point in bringing that up, people will just tell you that their ATGMs aren’t as powerful as the LMURs and ignore the fact that helis all FnF helis are a problem because most SAMs can’t counter them
I’m not sure that’s how it works when usually the AA can’t intercept multiple volleys of ATGMs or actually evade incoming ATGMs because the maps are too small

I dont see the new pansir as OP; only good at destroying munitions and as good as the previous pansir in doing the planes or helicopters.
