Also true. The type 03 absolute dogwater…
why would a missile that flies over it’s target have a second heat charge? doesn’t it explode entirely instead of 1 charge and then the other charge?

ERA on the roof and just more damage overall through the roof.
Also it doesn’t use Heat technically but EFP charges which punch harder than Heat
True, but luckily we already have multi-vehicle SPAA
I mean, it’s still better to have those sub-optimal vehicles than to have no CIWS at all
As long as helis are basically immune to SPAAs any kind of vehicle that can destroy loads of bombs and missiles is going to be extremely helpful
i mean, i know nothing about explosives, but wouldn’t the second charge explode too when the first one explodes? and if they’re some kind of “look-down tandem”, shouldn’t it be one over the other one so the first one destroyes the ERA and the second one goes through the armor?
It’s not exploding but sending the charge down and then fully explodes. Currently Gaijin models it as exploding and sending heat fragments down which is wrong.

Not necessarily as the first charge can increase the chances of setting off the other ERA nearby. Basically its not literally used to set the ERA off but adding the second charge just increases the chances of penetration, doing more damage, and hitting a spot with no ERA. Also EFP charges are less affected by ERA compared to heat.
well i have seen the non-existant damage of the TOW-2B in WT, so i wouldn’t mind making it a bit more useful.
Take it in test drive, 4 Tow-2B can’t kill a t-72 but one Tow-2A can. Unfortunately we can’t bug report it because Gaijin thinks its a game mechanic so nothing we can do.
Spyder getting Derby ER was very nice from gaijin, but still
Israel, Japan and Italy dont have saclos spaa, literally no counter against LDIRCM helicopters, and a big gap between manpad and multivehicle spaa (no anti air to go along with the merkava 3 and such).
These 3 could easily get one with their domestic or subtrees. (for example, HVSD/ADAMS, greek TOR-M1, malasyan Jernas (Rapier), etc (in case of italy/hungary they do not have one, so they could add a proper subtree for them))
In a way, yes, because we have demonstrated that JAGM, PARS, and Spike are underperforming, with Spike being the most egregious example of an underperforming flight model. LMUR and only LMUR gets to enjoy a top attack trajectory. Gaijin could’ve easily and retroactively changed the flight models of these missiles with the sources we provided them with, but they chose not to.
I mean itd be slightly more unwieldy since youve gotta position the gun and radar
HFK-KV Roland would be such a great addition now that we are getting hypersonic missiles on SPAAs. It wouldn’t even be as OP as Pantsir, as it would still be a crappy Roland turret and system, but with a powerful and fast missile.

Yet someone said multipathing denies the radar lock from the pantsir and so the proxy fuze lmao.
Its been like that since the Pantsir was added lmao. I umderstand the frusturation but then yoy got helis who just can hover in one place and be immune to normal SAMS.
It doesnt… I dont know said that. It works if the pantsir player leaves the missile in auto, so any slight turns cause overcorrection and the missile will slam the ground.
Its why players started barrel rolling to spoof the missile.
If they switch it to LOS, barrel rolling wont work because the missile wont try and presict flight path.
Same thing with helis. Most time i leave it in LOS so terrain adjudtment doesnt force overcorrection and spoof the missile
The only time chaffing works is if they failed to lock you before you started notching and spamming CM. Same thing applies to top tier air
When the Phantoms were still the top dogs, people had to learn to pre chaff because once the lock is held, spamming chaff wont instantly break it.
No. Old missile have 15m (or 25m i don’t remember) height where any proxy fuse don’t work. New missile works like ahead so don’t care about it.
This is exactly what I said was going to happen, enjoy playing against Russia in an exposed helipad, it took less than 3 seconds to erase you.
