This argument is as old as time, there are models in the files from over 10+ years ago which will never be released, if gaijin don’t deem it to be, then it’s not to be.
Alvis again is correct, vehicles are released when they are ready to be released.
The A4M has / had no intention of being properly released hence why it isn’t here yet.
If they do release it then it may be over the next few years.
There are an absolutely plethora of vehicles in the games files which do not exist in game and likely never will.
I have used it and also seen it used quite a lot, it’s a decenly strong 11.7 SPAA.
better question Alvis is why didn’t they get mad when the IRIS-T was added, and within the first month had near double the KD of the Pantsir at it’s absolute peak.
Because people are obsessed with Russian bias, oppose to looking at the massive imbalance across multiple nations which needs adressed.
So far at top tier , the only SPAA which has shot me down is the Thai 12.7 and the IRIS T the new Pantsir couldn’t hit my JH7A.

Carousel on my ZTZ96 eats spall as well, all auto loaders do , you can also take out a T series auto loader shooting clean through the top of the turret.
Russian mains aren’t acting hard done by they’re just fed up getting the finger pointed at them when there’s absolutely loads of issues within the game.
Barely anyone blinked an eye when IRIS T took over, or when the STRV 122s where slamming top tier into the ground.
Barely anyone complained about gripen, in comparison to the Su30 etc etc.
I agree, maps are definitely the number one issue plaguing this game. The technology and advanced weaponry we have in the game does not work in the context of the game. Maps are too small, game modes are way too arcade-arena-like. I knew from day 1 that these new SPAAs would be rendered useless due to poor maps and spawn placement. I was hoping Gaijin would at least try to introduce new spawn locations for SAMs so that they weren’t relegated to frontline combat. Trust me, these new SPAAs would perform a lot better if they didn’t have to worry about tanks HE’ing them from the other side of the map.
You must have missed the irist and gripen topics then.
I remember reading those topics saying irist could kill you perfectly when landed in the airfield, or gripen recieving a lot of spice 250 when f15i didnt have any, and so deleating half or more of the enemy team.
And then they both got nerfed so hard in such short time no one talked about them ever again.
Strv 122 not even a big issue, you kill it like a normal leopard.
And now tell me, how much time the posts of kh38, bmpt, ldircm, other nations not having a proper spaa, etc, have been going around and not fix in a short time or ever??

Youre giving the answer yourself. Its an IRIS T sprinkeld into Germany, an Strv for Sweden there, a Rafale for France here and an AH64E for the US for good measure but its not KH38MT for russia → SU30 for russia → MI28NM for russia → SU30SM2 for russia → BMPT for russia → Pantsir SM SV for russia
This is part of why people who argue for these russian additions try to group all blufor nations into “nato”, it makes it easier to argue that there’s no bias because it completely obfuscates the fact that while all of the other nations get maybe 1 or 2 strong vehicles that then get nerfed through the ground, Russia gets like 10. “But nato has x and y strong vehicles” no, each other nation has like one maybe.
I think you’re forgetting the fact that during the entire War Thunder service life of the IRIS-T it has in fact received nerfs due to both historical accuracy and game balance.
Your argument hangs on the thread of “it’s German therefore hypocrisy” when as far as I know it’s been nerfed like any vehicle that has overperformed both in the historical and balance sense.
The only reason the IRIS-T doesn’t make it for a good counterexample is because:
The entire reason this forum thread exists is because the same nation as always gets all the goodies and treatment when it comes to vehicles and historical accuracy (which sometimes is ignored lol).
The Pantsir SM-SV was not needed in any sort of way or form, it was just a nonsensical addition to a tech tree that already performs well in ground.
Thats where people gotta open their minds. Not every nation theought the tech trees are going to have sinilar capabilities, especially the more modern you go.
As it currently stands the U.S has a drone problem and the only thing theyre relying on js Strukers and humvees with stingers and crams.
Or multi vehicle sam systems.
Russias doctorine heavily leans into anti-air and they along china are the only nations that have focusrd heavily into SHORADS of this kind.
If you wanna bring up “balance” then majority of CAS beeds to lose most of its spammable munitions that can overwhelm any SPAA in the game as of current.
Or the competent CAS pulot judt flies low, and guns down the SAMS because besides the Pa tsir, no nation has invested into a all in one platform.
There wasnt balance before this Pantsir was added and gimping a nations ability the more modern you go, or saying “dont add this because other nations dont have it” is stupid thinking, because of course certain nations dont have everything.
Look at mid tier U.S spaa as an example, barely any options while Germany and USSR have really good options. But of course U.S cas dominates at that tier and no nation dueing that time period has equivalently as espansive of CAS, even when you push into Korean/Cold war era.
Using that example, that technically isnt fair, sonshould U.S be handicapped from CAS because other nations at that tier dont have equivalents?
