Well gaijin reversed the econ and released roadmap, is it still counting as failing ?
This is the type of player that’s responsible for Russia being what it is at toptier btw
(there’s multiple of these each match)
No problem.
However, not to destroy expectations, but Gaijin plans things months to years in advance.
It’s ultimately why multi-vehicle SPAA took a year to develop despite it being highest priority.
With that said, any additions this year won’t be due to this topic, and it’s entirely possible the desires you want were already planned prior to this topic.
That’s the reality of this type of game development.
The biggest coincidence of them all… Pantsir SMSV was likely already planned before Buk even released.
but isnt the buk good? I watched yesterday a codmineman vid about the Pantsir SM-SV, and he said in a bad tone about how it was unsserey to add teh Sm-SV, becouse we have the BUK M3?
It is unnecessary the buk isn’t bad at all its just the average player+bad maps that make it look bad
yeah i know, SPAA liek the buk and IRST, should hide their vehicle somere good in diffrents spot in the map, not all at onece at spwan.
The META was promised 3000 years ago.
Here’s a fact that will always be true: SPAA will never be meta.
It’s a CAS-counter, but SPAA itself cannot be meta.
Top MBTs? That’s meta, that wins matches. They can capture, destroy all things on the ground, and spawn push.
Jets? With SPAA up… they can sometimes destroy tanks that aren’t in cover, but they cannot capture points.
Top SPAA? They can destroy CAS… and capture points. That’s really it.
SPAA cannot be meta because it cannot dictate a match. It can protect a number of the meta vehicles, but itself is not meta.
So getting angry, getting livid, over a SPAA seems silly to me.
HQ17 is currently 11.7 with 15km range missiles, it is easily the best SPAA for its BR in the game… and it’s not dictating China’s 11.7 matches. It’s helping, but it’s not a meta vehicle for winning matches.
Why is it people are angry at this thing, but they weren’t angry when HQ17 was added? I am curious to hear explanations, without judgement of course.
What is Pantsir SMSV going to do to you specifically?
Very, very few people are sharing what this means to their lineup, their personal experience.
I stated mine earlier: Pantsir SMSV has no negative impact on my gameplay experience in War Thunder because I am focusing on playing my ground vehicles in the ground game mode.
That is my lens, my perspective.
IF I was still a CAS main, would I be upset? No… because when I was a CAS main I was demanding Type 03, Aster 30, etc level SPAA to begin with, so this new SPAA would not upset me.
I’d either learn its weaknesses, or I’d stop playing CAS for the same reasons I stopped to begin with.
So I’d like to hear what Pantsir SMSV means for your lineups at 12.7, and your preferences.
Because the explanation for its implementation is complete bs. They said in the russian dev stream that they add the SM SV, because the BUK is underperforming. While that might be true its still not the worst performing SPAA and russias top tier performance in general seemingly didnt suffer from a bad BUK. So one part of russian top tier is not among the best in its class and Gaijin immediately rushes to change that while tech trees with worse SPAA and generally worse top tier performance get absolutely nothing. Of course people will be annoyed because of that.
Literally the only way to defeat Russia with CAS At this point in top tier is to hope your team has Sweden and has enough E Gripen mains using its proper CAS loadout to completely overload ONE SPAA.
Now imagine, in the course of a game, the enemy team can spawn anywhere from one Pantsir SM-SV to 4 or 5.
The most I saw when I was fully uptiered in my 11.7 Britain Lineup, when I jumped into my Tornado GR.1, I launched my PGM-500s, all four were intercepted and I had to duck down behind hills because I was receiving a radar lock from 3 Pantsir, one BUK and a 2S6. That was before the SM-SV was added.
Now those 3 Pantsir can be replaced with the new SM-SVs, thats 144 anti-munition missiles aiming at the sky. Even four Gripen Es with full SPICE loadout cannot overwhelm that many missiles.
Russia top tier right now, has the most SPAA, the most missiles for anti-everything, and two of their top tier SPAA have guns which a metric ton of ammo onboard.
yes.
are u ragebaiting? Leopards have 6.0secs reload with Ace crew, and Abrams have 5.0secs reload (same as Leclerc, but without the autoloader).
i would prefer a human loading my tank at any time than sitting over they thing that will probably become the reason of why i went to Heaven.
Western tanks can reload without loader, eastern tanks can’t, if u lose the autoloader u only have 1 shot before becoming a 46/50t metal block in the middle of the battlefield, and as i said, western tanks have better reload even with a loader, losing just thr loader would be a 1 in 1M posibilities knowing how frenetic toptier is.
U’re the perfect definition of skill issue in a person, u struggle so badly against the worst tanks in the game that u rather need M829A4 or 1200mm of armor everywhere to feel ur tank is “decent”. Not even OP, just decent.
I bet u didn’t even touch a single russian MBT in ur life, if u did u wouldn’t be saying what u’re saying rn.
Most of the things in the russian TT are realistic, just go check some T-90M information, u will see how, in real life, it has 1m of frontal armor.
Russia only has survivable tanks if u suck aiming, i have played both Leopards and T series and killing russian tanks is super ez, and the fact i can kill them easily while u cry about how good they’re says a lot about each ones playstyle (or even skill). I haven’t been playing WT this last days, but i bet if i hop in my Leopard and play 10 matches, russian tanks will be the daily free prey of everytime.
People like u just want a nation they haven’t played to get nerfed while their superior tanks become even more superior cuz Gaijin is buffing them. If u struggle to kill a T-90M in a Leopard 2A7V, i must say u have a skill issue.
“With Ace crew”, wow. No shit. Most folks don’t have that, not anywhere close. At this point Russian mains are just making up the most absurd arguments. And Russian tanks are incredibly easy to play and some of the most forgiving tanks in the game.
Bruh, you haven’t even played a single one. We’ll talk again when you play the T90M.
It’s true that the 4km/h reverse speed forgives mistakes, and the same goes for the non-existent depression.
Is bait at this point
What people mean when they say forgiving is that rusfor armour has the smallest weakspots of anything in game, and insane mobility (especially when you account for 80BVM.). Additionally the side protection because of Relikt is absurd and can often delete darts entirely, with the “autoloader” module preventing ammo detonations. NATO advantage in soft factors means very little when you’re forced to pixel snipe weakspots on a vehicle doing 70kph which can just click on you anywhere and oneshot you.
Considering the average match has 2-3 buk systems already I have doubts about the chances of there ever being fewer than a couple pantsirs active at the same time. At least they’re not free like the S1 I suppose…
The only explanation during the Pantsir SMSV portion was “Intercept munitions” according to translation.
He commented on the team’s dream for all nations to have sufficiently powerful air defense.
“Does not fully realize our dreams that we would like all nations to have sufficiently powerful air defense systems.” - BVVD.
He commented on Buk underperforming, but that was in the context of stats, not as a reason for anything.
And yes, I watched the entirety of the Pantsir SMSV portion of the dev stream with Google’s autotranslate for those quotes.
So according to Google’s translation, he did not state that as a reason.
These aren’t my takes, I am just the messenger. If you have an issue with these translations, complain to Google.
And the “solution” was to give the nation with the best air defense (pantsir S1) better air defense, while leaving sky sabre broken, aster mediocre at best, and IRIS-T actually useable (although completely unable to engage helicopters thanks to magic LDIRCM)…?
This is precisely why people are perceiving a bias. If the goal was ACTUALLY to give every nation sufficient air defense, Russia would be the LAST country they’d be going to right now.
How to say that you don’t know about vehicle
Tan-SAM Kai is one of the most bugged SAM using which with even radar screen is pretty hard. I won’t list all problems because it would take long time but calling it “good” while we have Pantsir, IRIS-SLM, SAMP-T and others…
Type 03 is not bugged but it is just pretty not good 12.7 SAM because of missing TVC and vertical launch. If in game we had more realistic pilot behaviour it would be good but we have 10-20km GRB games where this SAM is not effective
