Id say the biggest problem isnt even the quality of russian SPAA but the sheer quantity. 2 12.7 SPAA and the by far best 12.0 SPAA as a free spawn is just an insane amount of potential protection against air threats while all others rely on none to max. 1.5 competetive SPAA at top tier.

Yep. I could almost… almost accept the performance of the first Pantsir when the soviets genuinely had some of the weaker CAS. Then they got KH-38MT which rendered all other SPAA redundant with the only counter being… the Pantsir. Its only mitigation was a weak platform.
Then they go on a very long rant about why adding Brimstones would be too OP… In the same update they add the Su-34… With KH-38MTs… in a greater quantity… on a decent platform… without adding a single SPAA counter to the SU-25SM3…
Okay? Japan and USSR have the best CAS.
Enemy team have their own air defense systems to deal with Japanese and Soviet CAS.
So how is having air defense relevant to their CAS?
Of course LDIRCM needs to be fixed, and ideally we end helicopters’ immunity to radar locks.

War Thunder’s update system is a “release as ready” system, meaning unless it’s for the theme [such as AMRAAMs, or mult-vehicle systems] of the update, they do not hold onto vehicles for a specific update and release them as they’re ready.
It’s a rolling door development cycle.
So yeah, other SPAA other tech trees will get weren’t ready for last major update. Many might not be ready for June’s either.
Development takes time, and we should apply pressure; at the same time we need to understand that any pressure that is actioned will take anywhere from 6 months to 2+ years to action depending on the scale of the subject being pressured.
Any pressure today on this topic will be actioned around Winter 2026-2027 at the earliest, but it’s likely to have no effect because they’ve already indicated they’re working on more SPAA systems, and we know from “definitely not leaks” that Patriot and others are in development.
Sure it does! But it’s the responsibility of gaijin to apply that development time responsibly to avoid major imbalances. Instead they choose to develop russian superweapon after russian superweapon instead of making comparatively trivial changes to western kit (again, bringing up sky sabre as an example) which would literally fix the issue??? Russia wasn’t exactly struggling in the SPAA department anyways.
There are bluewater ships, coastal ships, helicopters, tanks, fixed-wing, and 10 tech trees.
There are bombers, fighters, strike aircraft, SPAA, TD/SPG, MBT, light tanks, IFVs, torpedo boats, battleships, destroyers.
If you gave everyone 1 vehicle in all 5 categories, and in all of the listed 11 sub-categories, that would take about 2.6 years at the current 42 average vehicles per update.
There are like 15 toptier SPAAs
All that’s needed to fix most of them is
- give helis a radar signature
- make DIRCM not magic
- reduce multipath
all of which can be done with single value changes in the files.

They Got the Pantsir S1 2 years before any other nation got anything even close.
Its performance is still closer to that of the “new” SPAA the CS/SA5 or Spyder (before this update) than it was ever to the ADATS or Otomatic, etc

Yep, not surprised at all, though more referring to paper stats (range, interception ability, etc) than actual stats. Actual stats, yeah, still would place it as one of the best SPAA still in the game. Criminal its still only at 12.0

NASAMS is not a very big step up from CLAWS. Its no where near the leap in capability between BUK and Pantsir SMSV
