The Pantsir SM-SV is Simply Too Strong, Russian Bias as Clear as Day

You can’t even do CAP and even getting killed by their CAS since they can freely fly doing CAS and chase you like a dog.

Its why i intercept below a certain range. But at only really works because most players suck

Another huge milestone, likely the last one to be hit. Thank you all once again for the support.

However, despite the majority of players knowing fully well how strong this SPAA is, and the support this thread has gotten, gaijin purposely ignores its players and refuses to do anything about the performance gap between this vehicle and others. Lovely isn’t it?

Any thanks once again everyone, truly means a lot.

Tkbs and I assume other proxy fuse missiles can’t shoot down gbu53

ive seen them get shot down by missiles

and this screenshot shows nothing because proxy fuses in game dont detonate when something is first entering their range

they detonate when they are as close to the target as they will get, and the missile is clearly still closing with the GBU 53

Probably a bug, I recently had kh29t shrug off osa missile explosion like its nothing.

It never detonated, almost flew through it as well. Only the mach 5 missile worked but that one doesnt have proxy fuse

That could always happen but it is rare

To add more to this. They worked fine against heli missiles and kh31

NO GOD PLEASE NO. That thing does NOT need to be any more of a pain

Whoever at gaijin decided to add the Panstir SM-SV and make it 12.7 i honestly hope you stub you toe and jam it, then when its about to heal you do it again and it repeatedly happens to you for the rest of your life. Cause this thing is a hot lot of bs. Especially dealing with it at 11.7

Just because you can’t find any doesn’t mean it’s nonexistent

It’s roughly the same for the 57E6 (95Ya6), according to ROSOBORONEXPORT video warhead weight is 70% of total end weight, seems pretty much inline with eachother

That’s exactly what it means in a context of commie feverstate

Basically a fakeout at this rate.

You’re not even sure what’s being fired at you anymore.

I don’t see what they would do to be honest. I’ve been playing the hell out of the SM and against CAS that knows what they’re doing, you’d be fucked in any other SPAA system. Too many factors at play for me to say the SM alone is the problem.

Especially since I’ve been gunned down more times than actually bombed in other systems. It’s an actual joke I’m getting gunned down more times than killed by munitions, or just blown up by dumb rockets. So I feel no sympathy for CAS having to work harder to achieve the end goal of air superiority. Especially with how many planes/helis on average spawn per match, which scales astronmically when more than 1 air asset is up at a time.

Yeah thats very cool and all but dont you think the main problem (and the main point of this thread) is that once again only one tech tree gets access to an SPAA this powerful? Id reckon most people here do not have a problem with CAS being harder to play well but rather with CAS being harder to play but only when youre against russia.

The other nations already do have decent SPAA, I’ve said 20 million times that adding a Patriot for example won’t fix anything. Bigger more immobile SPAA won’t fix anything and removing this Pantsir also won’t fix anything. Because then you’re back to square 1.

Lower the height where missles are suscpetible to multipathing, that’s pretty much your answer. You want the other SPAAs to be competitve, that is what needs to change.

You could remove the Pantsir but you will still have poor Multivehicle SPAA across the board. The few SACLOS AA in-game have the luxury of not being susceptible to that at all.

I wouldn’t even call it bias as the thread implies because multipathing has been in the game for quite some time and applied to anything firing radar missles. You could add the most advanced AA the U.S got and it would not make a difference if it can be multipathed, which is the downfall of most AA systems. Of course the IRIST got away with this since it operates differentely, but unsurprisingly people have still worked their way around it regardless.

Some have decent SPAA but no one has the destroyer of CAS, AGMs and hope aka the Pantsir SM SV.

It would change the disbalance in the SPAA department which is the entire point of the thread?

Tell that to Gaijin, not me.

Would be worse against CAS in general but at least then everyone would be working with the same bad equipment.

The addition of a new SACLOS SPAA certainly isn’t bias but the incredibly suspicious values of the 95Ya6M are. Everyone especially struggles against helis due to LDIRCM and terrible radar return modeling and only Russia gets a SACLOS missile capable of doing Mach 3+ after 35km? Sorry but that’s just terrible balancing.

another important note is how a lot of other countries AAs are significantly underperforming

eg. NASSAMs using the original sentinel radar (and even that is missing capabilities) as opposed to the newer versions that it should be using; and furthermore the AMRAAM ER in game will only reach mach 2.3 or so, where IRL its known to hit mach 4-4.5
