The Pantsir SM-SV is Simply Too Strong, Russian Bias as Clear as Day

Conviniently using all time stats which include times when those spaa were 12.0.

Would you look at that, sm sv has greatest kd (may 26). And higher sl/rp per game because on top of those kills it also scores munition interceptions. Same happens on your image as well, sm sv performs more useful actions in general, not just k/d.

Can you read? I already replied to that to someone else earlier.

I dont see anyone bringing up rp/sl

What the other person means is that Pantsir S1 does not need a crew, as it is in the free SPAA rotation, and it is very commonly used from said feature.

This thing is 2x as strong as any other SPAA in game and it’s just one tank. It needs to be removed because it was clearly added because of a bias towards USSR to make it stronger than the rest of the TTs.

This is why. May stats:

USA is softlocked to play against Russia for months due to queue numbers.

In my past 50 matches or so, I was teamed with Russia exactly one time as US. The more you’re matched up against Russia, the worse the vehicle stats will be when this is the kind of CAS you have to deal with.

China has to face less Russian CAS because they actually get matched with Russia so their stats will naturally be higher.

And it’s not even that much of a difference which speaks highly of the US players if you look at the numbers with honesty. the Chinese Abrams has ~1 more kill every ~12 kills compared to the US Abrams.

Is the relative speed counted in War Thunder ?
Missiles have fuzes that explodes in a certain time or with certain target speed only (relative speed is often the unit used.)
I noticed that even tho I shoot mach 4 Kh-31PD, SM-SV keep shooting them down most of the time with TKB-105, which is a anti-drone missile, can intercept missiles up to 1000 m/s. I will do a bug report for this.

PS: I see that the SM-SV is not using the 30mm ?

My bad it’s from the front experience they decided to take those out.

Maybe they could change it ?

Pantsir SV can have the guns or without the guns. The problem many have found when shooting 30mm rounds is they tend to come down or the ones that have missed and not fused end up exploding all over the thing you are trying to protect.

The 35x gunner sight on the smsv also detrimental as you have too much zoom for the weapon effective range like who the hell start using that guns for targets >2-3km because thats what 35x is for

You do know sights are also use for double check identification right?

Change what specifically?

Is it explicitly stated the SM-SVs TKBs can only shoot down targets under 1000m/s? Regardless those missles are all proximity fused, I don’t see a difference --granted that a faster missile doesn’t neccesscarily mean guaranteed interception in a head-on profile. As TKBs do tend to miss faster and slower targets from side aspect.

Turn off radar ?

i love that its a missile that you can very easily see on radar due to relative speed and height it takes and “will be able to avoid” are in the same sentence

I have always found it so immensely funny that people use these KD values and totally ignore the fact that pantsir S1 is a free SPAA and people use both the S1 and SM as tank destroyers for some reason which wrecks their KD. SM and S1 are both top end in air kills to air deaths. SM is in fact the best of any AA in that regard.

That will work only in terminal stage

in general as a whole guns on pantsir are almost never used, and when they are its obvious why theyre not.

It all comes down whether the SM-SV service module for the armed forces uses guns or not. Even when theres a preproduction version with guns. If the offcial army one won’t have them, they should be removed ingame.

With new ARM, panstir is not that strong anymore and thanks to the CAS SP increase. I’m see a lot more tanks on the ground vs CAS so I think the SM-SV has been caught up with the changes.

That wouldn’t be enough to justify removing them in-game. Most targets engaged with the 30mms (irl and in-game) are small drones which is problematic due to the spacing of the guns combined with recocil. With most it’s targets being very small drone or fpv drones, granting the bad rep.

To contrast, you have the Gepard, it’s guns are also very spaced apart, but the majority of it’s targets have been very large drones and not small ones, (irl) keep that in mind.

In-game being presented with big targets such as airplanes, Pantsir has no issue targeting or hitting them and most likely wouldn’t if it was presented with bigger targets. It would also defeat it’s main role of “all in one”.
