The Pantsir SM-SV is Simply Too Strong, Russian Bias as Clear as Day

However it will switch the lock of a jet to a munition that the jet has dropped off

huh?

Read what I wrote

How nice of you to attach a completely different picture, only to get mad, very nice.
The radar beam of the tracker is just put inside of the turret, instead of being offset to the front, it still scans like it should.

Im sure you can see the difference between the 2 images, right?

yeah it normally switches to the newest target, that’s a known issue with all TWS radars like i’ve said

so what is the point of a turret then, if according to you, radar beams not rotating with the turret is correct? the radar beams stay in the line you have spawned in

you dont even play pantsir smsv?

Its not correct, its the same with ALL OTHER SPAAS IN THE GAME

Search radar stays in the same origin point, it rotates normally, searching around.

No, i dont.

Now let me ask you a question

image
This seems to be an issue to you, if it is, please tell me, how else is it supposed to scan 45 in azimuth to the right of the turret LoS, if not by looking to the right of the turret?

Pantsir tracking does not work in the same way as tracking of most other SPAAs, but you probably know this.

radars are like cameras they actually have an FOV and can slightly steer their own anthenas towards some angles, either mechanically or electronically, the radar is not always alligned and the beam moves dozens or even hundreds of times per second, some even reach thousands, and the same goes for here, you dont see it alligned but its working properly its just too quick for you to see, now taking all that with the way gaijin simplifies physics will ofc be confusing but gaijin has simplified it a lot so it dosent put all that much load on the game

Cant be bothered to record it myself, just watch this, explains perfectly
I guess it does not want to upload itself in watchable form.

This one works

And that is
THE SAME FOR EVERY SPAA. Its Gaijin choice to make it that way, EVERY SINGLE SPAA suffers from it, there is nothing you can do, not reportable, NOTHING.

i dont see this issue with pantsir s1?

Look again then, as it is there.

look again where? the video? to see where the radar is pointing, there is the beams? sm sv beams are in a zone you are not looking at at all, and where you are looking, ther is no search

Read

so you still dont understand the issue

Point at the problematic beam on this image.

It’s not. Your sp pool will be lower.

Mostly Sky sabre

Usually people who say similiar things don’t play cas or they subjectively estimate their effectiveness when they remember only those games where they killed 6 tanks in one go and forget the other 4 games where they couldn’t kill anyone and their actual stat show pretty poor perfomance.

You don’t need to be a good player. There is no skill floor for new spaa.

It seems you don’t want to point it, so I’m going to go by “what I understand”
Your issue is, that tracking radar beam is not looking in the direction of your turret, but that’s not how track of vehicles such as Pantsirs or Tors work.
Intsted of sending the beam directly onto the enemy plane, it is constantly scanning an area covering +75 -15 deg in elevation, and +45-45 deg in azimuth in a raster pattern. This happens once every second. That means the beam that is much smaller flies around the whole 90x90 zone in a span of a second. There is also a second, invisible beam, that does the same thing in 0,05s, but unlike the 1s one, it can’t detect new targets, only update the ones that the 1s one detects.
So, if you pause the replay at random moment chances the beam from your tracking radar will be on target are small, but not 0. In your example the beam is very far to the right, and it is either going to the left, or it is about to hit -45 mark, and it will go back left.
Thats how it works, there are no issues there. This system allows it to track multiple targets at once, unlike stuff like ItO, that can track only one

If you do not believe me, try this.
Create a custom game with plane bots, spawn a pantsir and lock one for a few seconds. End the game and watch the replay in a very big slow motion, you will see the beam do a raster scan.

I have an idea, use helis and/or the Bradley M3A3 to do indirect fire. For helis, the rockets may be intercepted the first few tries, but eventually either:
-The Panstir fails to successfully intercept munition(s)
or
-The Panstir exhausts it’s supply of missles

If you wanna know how the Bradley one works go watch @Loner1512 on YT.

This is just a creative idea I thought of to counter SPAA, feel free to comment your thoughts.

(act like this is pantsir sm sv in picture)

i hope you now understand the issue

i forgot to add, it is not always like this, it can be a gamble

some matches it behaves normal and some matches it doesnt

or just use spike missles, as these dont show up on radar and literally cannot be shot down, speaking from own experience

Then upload a video showing that behavior.
Or provide server replay of such thing happening in a battle, the screen you provided shows nothing out of the ordinary.
