The Pantsir SM-SV is Simply Too Strong, Russian Bias as Clear as Day

SM-SV and Irist slm are the only thing that could ever hope to contest a skilled pilot in the current enviroment. and iris t is unlikely to survive the engagement.

and if a mi28nm spawns? might as well j out i youre not in a pantsir

Unfortunately being on the “faces pantsir” side. That means theres jets in the air and helis which would make LINK between teammates valuable

This is in regards to your:

comment about LINK

Would be great if scout uav could transmit precise coordinates for gnss in real time. Or use laser to guide missiles launched from plane.

Okay and do we have any ideas on how to balance the game out in that case, because if multipathing, chaffing or flaring arent supposed to give any CAS player a chance at survival or make it slimmer. I dont see why they wouldnt also get capibilites to counter that.

You keep saying SACLOS missles are supposed to be worse but youre saying thay ARH missles are supposed to be better than them in-game. You arent making it very clear (too me) if youre saying that SACLOS need to be artificially nerfed or ARH missles need to be buffed. So youre throwing me in a loop right now.

No its not, but its less effective the closer you get to a target. How is this supposed to work of you grant ARH SAMS a very high hit rate with almost 0 susceptiblities if thats naturally going to be the counter.

Small maps wont allow for electronic warfare to be played right is what im trying to say.

Versus a radar only based SAM that doesnt use IRIST tracking if the radar is supressed, thats a huge disadvantage.

It would have a better chance if it had the advantage of range instead of being forced to wait until theyrebwithin 14kms after theyve popped over a hill.

Which is true but in the currrent envrionment as it stands, the average engagement with a plane almost always leaves them in LOS at ranges of 15-20kms long enough that SACLOS missles excel over the SAMS. Purely because everything is almost on small maps and small maps favors a SHORAD like the Pantsir.

The extended range advantages SAMS are supposed to have would mean millions more if there were actually large enough maps tonallow that kind of breathing room but that currently isnt the case

i disagree quite a bit, always see aircraft pop out on radar 20+ kilometers away, i just cant engage them cause ARH are useless that far away ingame.

Thats usually because they just used multipathing 9 times out of 10.

Ive put a lot of work into my CLAWS and thats just what happens in the replays.

which should be disabled on top tier sams(or lowered to like 10 meters), learn to notch or die should be the rule

How about helis?

Well, as you said before. Notching isnt going to matter much if the SAMS missles were as effective as you said they should be.

10 meters is abysmally low, youre gonna hit the ground at that point. And mightaswell be non existsnt on maps with trees

ESPECIALLY for helis, theyre literally invulnerable right now

notching should be harder to do not impossible, i was talking insofar as real life, although notching should be outright disabled if the missile is gettinng Costant datalink as that implies youre either exposed on a attack run or flying like you have multiple lives

Gotcha, gotcha.

and because it seems to be missed, i never intented or said that saclos should be nerfed, i like saclos systems, i just find it absolutely insane when things like samp-t or type 03 get outperformed by a pantsir in pretty much every practical scenario

Would be nice to get spaa radars nerfed then because currently they just ignore trees and can send their missiles right to helipads. Died plenty of times on zulu on helipad to ir sam casually seeing me through trees before I can see them. On maps like eastern europe, fire arc or poland you are pretty much cooked if you dont have ldirccm heli (and removal of mp would make those much weaker too).

that would be easily fixed by just repositioning helipads on certain maps

Where would you put helipad or volokolamsk? Entire map outside of tank battlefield is just huge forest.

Heli, AA and Air all need re BR’d and decompressed. Fighting top tier AA like the SMSV or the IRIS-T in my 12.0 F-14B in GRB is one of the most gaijin moments ever.

the entire top tier range is extremely compressed
The functional difference between Tanks at 11.7 and 12.7 isn’t insane.

But the same can’t be said for planes, AA systems, or Heli’s at all.

its one of reasons SMSV feels so ridiculous and just well it plainly is.
