Youre still focused on SPAA, those trees could absolutely have gotten something else to make up for their bad SPAA but they got nothing. Only russia got something the instant one of their top tier parts was allegedly underperforming.
It is a surprise because this game should be focusing on balance. When you add one vehicle, you need to think about what other nations can bring to the table. Should we really make it historical? It’s not gonna be good
I will admit that BUK is absolutely abysmal compared to IRIS-T (in terms of KDR but not so much in interception rates), but I feel like adding a newer Pantsir was an overreaction by Gaijin, at least not without adding the necessary tools to have a proper counter, and I feel like there is nothing Western forces can receive that could overwhelm this new Pantsir system, other than maybe Brimstone 2/3 with mmW seekers.
So we are back to the old status quo of Russia having the best in class in both SPAA and CAS. It is still a SACLOS system at the end of the day and can be taken out like any other, but it is such an overkill system when S1 Pantsir was still more than capable.
So can we use the same logic for Brinstones? They were rejected from being in the game and Russia doesn’t have any FnF MMW missiles. So should we get selective on who gets what when other countries can’t offer an equivalent?
It’s 4 seconds. And reloading rate is a balancing decision not based on sources. Leclerc and type 90 have the same official source but Gaijin gave them different values
If we get HARMs this year, then what could Western forces receive? I feel like whatever they add is going to be negated by the new Pantsir anyway. Russia and Japan would not even need HARMs because they have Kh-38 already, which would be superior in almost every regard.
Best bet would be to implement them onto the british apache’s first (limiting them to 12, as 16 can be a bit of overkill due to their attack path), see if they perform well, as they should be good due to them having similar attack path like the lmur’s, but implementing them on typhoons and other jets right now wouldnt be great imo, 6 kh38s are easier to shoot down than 18 IR brimstones, iygwim.
Ofc they’re not, but some form of balancing has to be present. The problem is there is none right now. Honestly if pantsir SMSV wasn’t added, at least all nations were somewhat vulnerable to CAS. rn Russia has the best CAS and SPAA. You can claim that IRIS-T is op, and it is, but guess what Russia also has the best heli that’s still immune to IRIS-T. Basically if one nation to to get a new capability, other nations should expect to recieve something similar or a counter. The last two major updates added amazing new things for Russia and its evident in its high player count that’s been consistent for months now.
The point is that your arguments mention multiple different trees that not necessarily play together while the other side is one tree getting pampered every single update. Even after what you wrote under that its exactly that. Youre still treating 8 tech trees like an equivalent to one. Ofc if you do that the quantity of super strong additions will be similar lol
