How often are planes going to remain LOS at those ranges? they mostly pop up at 6-10km anyway
In which case we come back to 95Ya6 not decelerating enough and leaving little reaction time
As well as the quantity of missiles (+4 x2) and the guns, useful to intercept more ammo and self defend against lightly armored vehicles or the occasional MBT showing its side
I don’t agree with BR gaps in general. I talked about this with my friends last night. Its really dumb some nations miss out on entire BR gaps for a bit cause there’s nothing in the TT or anything in those BRs are event vehicles from awhile ago.
They just happen because of capabilities of vehicles. Not like it going up to 12.3 is an issue since there is an spaa for russia at 11.3 anyway. Russia is the last nation that should be worried about an spaa going up and leaving a gap since they have the densest line in the first place. THe largest gap is between 4.0 and 6.0 and gaijin will probably add something there and laugh at the other nations
It doesn’t matter. The people who benefit from it will always defend the indefensible.
British, German, American, and Swedish players with the ITO are not weak. They all have SPAA systems with missiles that reach 10–12 km, which is the standard range you should already know.
Only Russia has an SPAA with an 18 km range at this BR.
But sure, apparently I’m the one who just wants free kills.
You people play dumb to defend something that is obvious to everyone. I swear to God, if the Pantsir were placed at 10.7, you would still defend it.
Unfortunately, that’s the Russian player base.
Saying that the ITO is almost as good as the Pantsir genuinely made me laugh.
Honestly, that’s exactly why we see soooo many people complaining about the ITO, right? Wow, the ITO is such a huge problem! (That’s sarcasm, by the way.)
Come on, man. Not even you believe what you’re writing.
What kind of logic is that? An SPAA with a 12 km range is supposedly almost as good as one with an 18 km range, so they deserve the same BR? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Is this guy seriously trying to argue that?
This dude was eliminated one time in his Su-30 while spamming Kh-38s, and he still hasn’t forgiven the ItO-90M for its transgressions.
Yes, and apparently that ISNT enough to copmete at top tier anymore?
id say its more like 13. Never got neither get to hit anything further.
Pantsir`s strenght isnt in range, but in multitarget and stability of munitions.
Well, each time plane person claims SPAA OP it only means he gets shot down BEFORE destroying everything on the ground. So i firmly believe that, yes.
It is, as i know, the second best SPAA ingame, yes. I remember the time it was added and became same as pantsir became when it was added - thing that closed the airspace for enemy team. Basically better version of FlaRak. All while USSR has only one valid attacker, and it was a helicopter. Lol.
No one complains about it because no one plays it. You rarely see french players at top tier anyway. Even rarer they spawn ITO, or any SPAA at all. And sweden one SLAPS when found.
is 12 = 8 ?
is 18 = 12 ?
is 4 = 0 ?
If you answered no to all these questions, congratulations ! You have the minimum level required for elementary school at maths and you have also found out why Pantsir and ITO should not be at the same br
If you answered yes to any of those, please try again
By his grammar, he is an American, you lost him at “maths”.
Guys, our friend here has a negative K/D with his Pantsir, so he thinks it can only hit targets out to 13 km (when in reality, he’s just bad with the Pantsir). Because of that, he actually believes it’s comparable to the ITO. Give me a break.
He can’t hit anything at 18 km, so he assumed that nobody else can either. You Russia mains really need to start coming up with better arguments. They’re getting more and more brain-dead every day.
Said the one calling ITO bad. Lol.
“Actually the ItO can reach 12km like what the stat card said, but Pantsir can only go 13km, despite the stat card saying 18!”
- Mushy Coathanger
The reality is,you aint hitting anyone at 18km cause everyone dives to deck the moment they spawn and use terrain. Planes pop up at 2-3km max and then disappear again.
Wouldn’t that be nice if you had a fast accelerating missile to offer little reaction time to your adversary and guns in case the plane is too close
If only you didnt had shit radar so you wouldnt even see it. And by the time you turn the turret around, you are dead. Besides the missile wont pull when its so close. Guns sometimes works, othertimes dont. But you die anyway cause you need the missile to proxy what was thrown on you.
If a plane goes low no radar will see it anyway
You can still lock manually when it pops up at the expected location, if you lose track of a plane and have no clue where he will reappear it means :
- 1 : you don’t know the aircraft map layout, surrounding low points, valleys and heights. It’s quite easy to predict where someone will appear just by looking at these little things called “level curves”
- 2 : you don’t use the air alert function
Both of which are on you, both of which will get you killed in any AA if the enemy plane knows where you are
What you can do unlike ITO however is :
- 1 : fire at them before they are in range for a track lock and force them down, making them lose awareness
- 2 : engage an enemy with great angular speed compared to you (engaging one of your ally for example) thanks to guns
Ito missile will still pull way faster on such close range.
not really no
You have to give VT-1 1s before it starts seriously pulling. Under 2 km if your target has great angular speed you won’t hit it
It might maneuver a bit better than pantsir missile between 2-7km, but considering you now get the radar screen that pulls the missile for you, that advantage doesn’t really matter anymore.
Under 2km, ITO won’t hit, Pantsir can still use guns.
If the enemy is in head-on, it’s a hit in both cases
Not that any of this matters, CAS can comfortably stay up high outside of ITOs range and throw AGMs from there, something that can not be done against a pantsir
