The overpowered annoying unfair plane and tank enemy AI in Assault Ground Arcade and possible solutions

Yeah, seems this mode is being left to disappear.
Shame, I can at least enjoy PvE in crossout and some other games.
Heck, even Enlisted, the cousin (if not brother of WT) is more generous with it’s custom battles.

Well, the good news is if people keep sharing classified materials the whole game might shut down. More leaks were shared yesterday!

Thats not how that works.

It just might be if things keep going the way they are. International law enforcement will come down hard on Gaijin and they’ll be forced to shut down operations.

I’d be willing to bet they’re already under investigation for espionage, “accidental” or otherwise!

Ah no. Someone choosing to be a dumbass does not make Gaijin an accessory unless they do something with it like publish or sell it. Even having “secrut dokumunts” on their sites doesn’t mean anything because of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996.
“International Law Enforcement” can’t do anything at all besides ask politely some national authority to do something either.

As long as it’s publicly available for anyone to view, they’re considered to have distributed it. Unauthorized distribution of classified documents is illegal and can result in a charge of espionage.

Unauthorized reception of classified documents can also be considered espionage.

lol. Its a video game dude.

That changes nothing - it’s still illegal to receive or show classified documents to unauthorized personnel.

Espionage is serious and they can be prosecuted for it. Video game or not.

Feel free to actually go read Section 230. Gaijin has never solicited “secrut dokumunts” and has removed and expressly told users not to post any on its sites so…

Even if they’ve never solicited them, they can still be charged for having them.

Nope, at least not in the US. Section 230 is pretty damn clear (Thankfully) on this.

It is a neglected game mode at least at high level.
In the air, it gives little experience and is extremely easy, the only challenge is to kill the two waves that have ground units. Moreover, as long as you use a plane that is not top tier you don’t touch an NPC.

For ground, event too long, CAS annoying. Enemy tanks will break your cannon all the time with their auto-aim, when you are reborn you will die instantly because of the poor cover.

Thought I was the only one killed by a round fired from Over the River and Through the woods, While driving at full speed.

Gaijin’s version of stun lock.

Many times just better to SD - but - then you end up in suicide spawn. Can’t win either way.

Also so sick of the bot AA in BR 6.7+
2/3 of the time they shoot down my bomber before I have a chance to drop. Almost better to pass on the bomber and just keep shooting if ur in a decent camping spot.

Seems like Gaijin just does not want us to win in this mode.

The main obstacle is, at least I think so, understanding what the mode is about and how some things are connected. Look at the bunches of ZSU-57 clowns who blithely ignore planes and get off shooting tanks instead because that gives them a high spot in the list. The planes blow up players at the cost of 250 tickets each, and possible respawn kills due to the open field of fire for attacking tanks; again 250 tickets each.

That really hurts after a while. Sometimes I see players in the group with 15 or more deaths. That’s a loss of 4000+ tickets (total) just from one person. Since only a maximum of 1500 are added back after defeating a wave, careless players (or their “haha, my paint is scratched, let’s blow this up” cousins) make everything worse.

Maginot, the southeast spawn which swings around to approach the base from the south. They can’t be hit from the base but have a cozy place to drain tickets. Either players get in position before the other waves can hit them (not always possible) or it takes a well-aimed bomber attack to stop the bots. I did find myself in a group once which managed to lose on the first wave, but they really did everything wrong.

As for the bot AA, unlike players bots can actually fire their turret MGs in a different direction than the main gun. Also, they will all fire at the same spot with a much better aim than players. IS-2s in Kursk burning down a B-29 within 30 seconds despite the bomber being 2000+ metres up, that is a bit ridiculous. Or in the 8.3+ bracket, when all three wave spawns start shooting the same helicopter - that is a lot of MG tracers going overhead.

To add to this - the jerks that squad their friends using reserve tanks into a BR 6.0+ battle.
These “friends” do not help in any way, and actually hinder the team by dying repeatedly in their very weak tanks.

I don’t think squading should be allowed (in ANY mode) if any players in the squad don’t meet the minimum BR threshold with at least one tank in their garage for that battle.

Let me guess, writing a quick “How to play Assault mode” manual has been tried before and would be a complete waste of time?

This bad.

But I was referring to the bot SPAA - the dedicated anti-aircraft that shows up when a player clicks 7 or 8 or 9. The SZU-37s / Falcon’s / etc. They target your plane within 3 seconds and bring you down long before you can deploy the ordinance. Cut your plane in half.

I think you have all mistaken Gaijin for a company that cares about its players. It appears to me they want to chase us off the servers. I used to spend a lot on money on this game. I refuse to spend money on a game that the developers have taken the fun away from the players in arcade mode.

Apparently new nuisances have been added. For about two weeks or so new planes are sometimes just spawning right next to those already there (if not taken care of) instead of coming in from a standard direction, and this weekend I’ve been twice tag-teamed by bot planes: the first missed me or did only splash damage, and a few seconds later the second blew me up.

In the general the aim ability of bot planes on the Japan and Mozdok maps seems to be lower than before, but anything shooting Tiny Tim or dropping bombs still comes in sniper quality. Oh, and in the two top BR brackets trying to hit the jets with MG fire is a near-total waste of time. I barely get “Hit” in the display, let alone anything useful.
