The new Yak-130 is way too OP for 8.3 Ground RB matches

pointlock is usable and youre fighting really old SPAAs, also with sufficient speed they can somewhat glide in ok-ish

lol no it isnt

cannons no, MANPADs maybe. The trick with any CAS is to not fly like a moron, i.e. in a predictable manner.

Its 4 decent guided bombs at a low enough BR where getting downtiered is just bullying

performance maybe, better rockets no. Yak130 gets S25Os which are still the best unguided rockets and S13s which are effectively russian Zunis.
On top of that Yak gets KABs and G91 doesnt.
And Aim9Bs are whatever, you can dodge a 9B by turning, you dont even need flares.

American A4 has 2 walleyes, which are effectively KAB counterparts.
Israeli A4s get just an extra GBU8 which is once again, basically KAB500
Ayit has access to 3 extra A-Mavericks at 10.0, which is much worse BR.

The Q5A lacks any form of guided munitions
The Q5L has access to 2 chinese LJDAMs at the BR of 10.3

In a downtier

The Su-25 is OP in a downtier, the AJS37 is OP in a downtier, the A-10 is OP in a downtier.

Almost every vehicle (except the exceptionally ‘ass for their BR’ vehicles) are OP in a downtier

It could genuinely go to 9.7 and not face too many issues from looking at it.
imo purely cannon radar SPAAs shouldnt really face this thing.

thats the equivalent of saying “I can breathe air” in front of a fish. The overwhelming majority of WT players are abysmally low skill

most of the US vehicles ive used have a 60+% winrate. all of my top 30 have better than 60% victories actually. US teams are not great but if you have a brain cell, you can sealclub like its nothing

youre both fools pretending to be experts

Why exactly, they shouldn’t have any issue combatting it. The Type 87, the Gepard, the ItPsV Leo. Furthermore anything with proxy.

Any CAP will combat it too.

it gets TV bombs while being as fast or faster than a lot of the CAP planes around that BR

dont get me wrong. the 35mm SPAAs are OP for their BRs but this thing is still easily able to slip past

They are making it sound like their 500 pound guided bomb drops like a 2000 pound rock

it only does that if youre expecting it to have a rocket booster and not be a freefaller like a walleye

If the 35mm SPAA’s wouldn’t be 35mm TD’s I don’t think It’d be an issue personally, and partially from experience.

Yeah, it’s gets KAB-500M’s, but they won’t track at ranges that make them ‘functionally useful’ if that makes sense. They’re designed to be locked and lobbed at ships, trains, and bunkers, not the ants on the ground.

I feel like CAS is just such an inaccurate representation of real life for ‘the fun of the game’. Real life, Cold War at least, a Phantom would be loaded with some bombs, cruise into un-contested airspace where a ground armor skirmish was in Fulda gap, be fed info from ground troops on enemy positions, set a nav-point and CCRP for that location and carpet bomb. Then RTB, if it hit something, it hit, if it didn’t, it didn’t.

Things designed to kills tanks or armor in general, are usually non-fire and forget, or mid-flight correctable to ensure proper use of munitions. Mavericks are the earliest examples of a purpose built tank killer missile, and are the most primitive by far. It’s just a super deep topic I don’t wanna dive deep on.

Just to be clear, both of our stats are better than yours… what was your point again?

Which requires constant corrections, and you pointing directly at the ground.

Most of the time people are using them as dumb fire rockets that can turn.

Unless you’re running a cheat which aims the missile for you where you can just use the damn thing as a fnf atgm

That was one person

Gaijin quietly hopes everyone forgot about that one guy. He managed to make nords act like proper r73 when actual r73 would spin out of control every time

Pretty much everything kills in a downtier. I think this is more of a compression issue rather than this being some sort god-tier vehicle. If it really is OP it is likely to get rebalanced at some point. Remember the BMPT launched at 10.3BR lol. For me the real question is why the Pucara is 4.3BR(other than the obvious reason)

Fim-92Ks would like a word. 9/10 hit the target.

Well in my experience it’s maybe 7/10, but the stinger launchers can just fire again if the first missile didn’t know where it is. I’d say the mistral is actually much more dangerous

I didn’t find the Sidam mistral too bad, but I much prefer the Fim-92ks. I’ve been killed by them while low flying and flaring periodically.

I’ve also killed helis and planes doing the same.

The only odd exception which caused consistent misses is the Mi-28A for Sweden. Apparently its heat profile is less than the normal Mi-28N.

(Me and a buddy tested a bunch of these helis after we watched in a match, a 28A only 1.2 miles away dodging them without doing much more than moving slightly)

nah, they are fine where they are, AAA are too op and are taking them out easily… you just have to have some when they are spawning.

They are not equals. KAB-500s have far less range than Walleyes, and even GBU-8s.
