The new mechanism is too harsh on WWII CAS

You’re talking about the helicopter. This has nothing to do with CAS. CAS without CCIP/CCRR cannot compete with air defense vehicles with radar at all.

That’s what other nations don’t have, and need rockets or small bombs.

Using 37mm to destroy SPAAs also needs to take a risk, even a .50cal can damege these planes seriously. I have used .50cal to shoot down a lot of planes, and also there are some full armor protect SPAAs that exist.

Using rockets is much harder than using cannons. Rockets, like RP3 or HVAR’s, flying path is random, unless you approach to 2-300m, which could let SPAA kill planes over and over again, and you have to steep dive to SPAA, which means SPAA can easily find you and waiting for you to dive.

Even gives double the rockets, but most of the CAS players are not able to use them. and they will only have one chance to kill these open-top SPAAs, as BR moves to over 4.0, sometimes these SPAA can even shot down the rockets, and after do that one time, all the SPAAs will be aware that there is a CAS that is trying to use rockets.

something something I say spawn SPAA and then cry about about it because I keep dying to it, and having spawn cost increased, wah wah wah

Are you suggesting players don’t use helicopters in RGB as CAS? Really?

So you want CAP to AFK or waste over 400 SP when there is no CAS?

They could use spaa instead. Their choice.

Adding bombs or rockets to CAP so they can destroy ground units is not a solution. The game does not need MORE air units attacking ground units.

False

Not everyone wants to use spaa, and also CAP is the best way to anti-cas.

Adding “small” bombs and rockets are pretty hard to destroy tanks, even some of full armor SPAAs, but that will give CAP something to do instead of wasting, CAS now has already nerf too much, which means they can have only one chance to respawn in most of time, and reduce the cost for small one could let both SPAA and CAP something to do instead of AFK, The air unit is a part of game, nerf them will only make game getting worse to be balanced

Truly a well rounded and based in reality argument.

Many ww2 era spg are soft-skinned and / or open-topped.

So giving CAP smaller bombs or rockets would give them a decent chance of being able to destroy 3 of the 5 classes of ground vehicles in GRB.

I’m not comfortable with that. I think it’s unreasonable.

As you are stuck on this idea, and will never convince me to be on board with it, I’d say we will have to agree to disagree. Good Day.

Why, most of them have British Hispano, which doesnt have to pay for AP belt, meaning it has ~40mm pen and great HEs.

Yes, thats why its pretty fair. And its still pretty good tactic, brings many kills especially against germans.

Not that much. Dropping 3-4 of them to the SPAA isnt that hard.

again, not that much? Mere meter difference which is enough most of the time to disable SPAA gunner to eat it with cannons, or even kill SPAA at all.

You dont necessarily have to, but thats also a decent sufficient tactic. Many SPAAs cant fire straight up, plus game controls kick in and try rotating spaa`s turret when its too steep. Steep dive is more safe in many cases.

I dont see how this is my problem?
They have a way, its their fault they cant get their head around on how to use it. Especially when its not that hard. I mean, try to smack a plane 1.3km away flying not straight, with anything before Gepard. I’d love to see you being efficient.

That’s from 10m range, in the battle you need to shot at around 1km -500m, and that can’t pen most of German SPAA, even some of 30mm guns.

Only In theory, or when those SPAA are AFK, RP3/HAVR is pretty hard to hit targets far from 1km.

Essentially, it comes down to going head-on with vehicles that have better weapons.and SPAA could shot first when it realized planes were heading towards them.

The only thing I think is SDKFZ251, most of them have at least vertical at 85 degrees.

That’s pretty easy, especially for some Cold War spaa with over 900m/s muzzle velocity, you don’t need to follow their path exactly, just shoot around, if they are not straight, and then must be in low speed, ZSU23-4m2 and BTR-152D are very good at it, especially when pilots believe they are safe.

And also for SPAA, take some cover and never just stay at home is the best way, that’s also a skill for SPAAs

I’ve tried explaining it countless times; these loadouts are not for free, at least they should not be charged too much.

Since you hate CAS so much, and believe they can achieve a level of intensity that is simply beyond their reach.

In that case, I’ll have to consider you a member of the group that undermines CAS. I don’t think there’s much more to discuss. If you approach this with bias, they will never be able to treat it fairly.

That’s exactly what “agree to disagree” means as per my previous post.
