In the April BR adjustment, the Mirage 2000C-S5 was adjusted down to 12.3. However, its two ground-attack variant remain at 12.3 and 12.7 respectively—clearly overlooked in the process. Admittedly, I initially forgot about these two aircraft as well; otherwise, I wouldn’t be posting about this now.
In my view, the Mirage 2000D-R1 should be adjusted to BR 12.0, and the Mirage 2000D-RMV to BR 12.3—at the very least. The reasoning is self-evident: while the Mirage 2000CS-5 is equipped with the Super 530D , neither of the two Mirage 2000D variants carries any medium-range air-to-air missiles.
In fact, I would argue that even the Mirage 2000D-RMV’s advantage over the D-R1—namely, the addition of a HMD—is not substantial enough to justify a 0.3 BR gap, given that both aircraft share the same limited weapon loadout of just two Magic 2 short-range missiles. Therefore, placing the Mirage 2000D-RMV at BR 12.0 would also be reasonable. After all, this game is filled with countless examples of vehicles sharing the same battle rating despite vastly different performance characteristics. In the broader context of the game’s ongoing BR compression efforts, the presence or absence of a single HMD hardly constitutes a decisive factor.
