XAAM, LAAM, XSDB??? Those are Ace Combat terminology, that image is completely fan-fiction and doesn’t even count as a source.
It even lists “ADMM”, All Direction Multi-Purpose Missile, one of the fictional weapons in AC exclusive to fictional CFA-44, not even something modelled based on a real weapon.
I still haven’t seen anything more than blurry artist’s renditions, so IDK what are these " two or three real sources".
The MiG-1.44 suggestion was removed because people can’t prove that it ever had any sort of armament. It was a prototype that flew but that’s about it, you guys are asking for a plane with 2 pylons at best (with no picture of them carrying anything IRL).
I wish OP could edit og post with real info from Russian display instead of relying on random video…
Mig1.44 had highest thrust to weight of any fighter jet in the world
from the panel @Zyranovos gave us, it read as follow concerning Payloads options:
12x R-77 or R-73
2x Kh-55 or Kh-61 or Kh-41
/OR/
8x Kh-29 or Kh-31
/OR/
12x 500kg bombs (Conventional HE or Frag-HE)
with only 8 external hardpoints and 12 internal hardpoints.
meaning that the internal hardpoints can’t allow for 12xR-77 (lenght:3.6m) , but most likely 4 in bomb-bay and 8 on external HP
Maybe some Kh-29/Kh-31 are also present on external points (maybe 4 internal / 4 external)
Kh-55/Kh-61 might be on external HP (Kh-55 lenght of 8.09m , Kh-61 of 6.04m) same for Kh-41 (don’t have data)
Bombs might all be in Internal bomb bay (lenght: 2.47m)
and the bombbay never was on the technological demonstrator.
still no,… read again your own spec list talk of 12 R-77 only, you added the internal bay,… but the panel is crystal clear.
and the weapon bay was never made onto the demonstrator, so it would be hard to imagine gaijin adding it from thin air. (my guess is that if MiG 1.44 ever enter the game, it would have 8 external HP and that’s it)
you’re willing to tell me, that the aircraft being 20m ish of length is able to propose a 11m ish ventral weapon bay to accomodate 3x racks of 4xR-77 (3.6m * 3 = 10.8m), while getting 2x Saturn AL-41F? no,… sorry i don’t
it have 12 internal hard points and then 8 external hard points. What are the 8 external hard points used for.
12x is carried internally.
8 more external
from a weapon bay that never existed IRL onto the demonstrator (first of all)
and the J-20 of similar size and configuration (lenght 20m) is only getting a weapon bay of 4x PL-15 (Lenght of 3.996m) [aircraft which seems to be inspired from MiG 1.44 project, even if both side never said it was]
so you’re actually delusionnal if you think that 12x R-77 of 3.6m would fit in the weapon bay
12 bombs is in weapon bay is already something incredible in the first place (and i was giving that)
Yeah because this is not production model… if it was to be implemented as is it would have 0 weapons what so ever. But we are talking of hypothetical production model and it would be had 20x hard points, 12 internal and 8 external
hardpoints are not always carrying all available weapons in the arsenal,…
like F-15’s : you can’t put AIM-9M in place of AIM-120’s, for ventral hardpoints - same thing here
unless you have plans and dimensions of the planned weapon bay - this can’t get 12xR-77 internally
4xR-77 internally and 8xR-77 externally is what i believe, from actual aircrafts that are VERY similar
but
12xFAB500 (2.4m lenght) in the weapon bay could happen (2x6xFAB-500)
or 4xKh-29 (3.9m) 4x Kh-31 (4.7m)
for a weapon bay of 5m length (which is already a bit bigger than the J-20 one)
