The Mikoyan-Gurevich project 1.44

Ok i see you think i am talking about aircraft i mean the engine itself. J58 is SR-71 engine i don’t remember the engine name of the foxbat.

I went and looked it is the R-15

Yeah, 44k ft/lbs of thrust, at a a much heavier 80k lbs, loaded and fueled, 64k lbs at no weaponry. I don’t know who does the Wikipedia stuff, but it’s way off.

For some reason I don’t think that’s right, especially for Mach 2.35.

Yeah i don’t know who put the numbers on wiki but i want what they are smoking.

Those numbers were for the fox at btw

The 1.44 is a great Jet in its own right, just kinda failed at what it was specifically designed to do, Stealth.

A MUCH larger RCS than the raptor along with the External hardpoints are going to make its stealth a mute point. (In all honestly the stealth doesn’t really matter, as people forget Stealth aircraft can be detected at closer ranges, Which encompass pretty much all WT engagements. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ )

The much bigger problem is the lack of weaponry applied AND test flights (there are 2 recorded testflights), as structural data on G-Limits has not been properly gathered, and like most initial prototypes:

The existing 1.44 prototype is most likely not materially designed for High Speed or High G maneuvers.

Initial Porotypes goals are to make it off the damn runway, not turn like a leaf at .9 Mach. This will make proper data of an full service variant extremely difficult. There are a ton of Predicted statistics about the aircrafts performance, max speed and altitude like all prototypes and proposed aircraft, but as for data we actually have:
Recorded Max Height Reached: 1,000 m
Recorded Max Speed Reached: 600 km/h (370 mph).
The 1.44 went on a little stroll, as expected of a first flight prototype.

If Gaijin really wants this in the game though, they can just start pulling numbers out of their ass if they want to, like the 16J and the R2Y2’s.

Is a F-16 overall, this one is plausible, as we do have a lot of other F-16 to compare theorical data to.

You’re right on those, as the R2Y2 V1 never been finished, and V2/V3 based on what USA have done after the war, with aircrafts like F2H-2 and F-86.

the one next to it it looks funny

What is producing 44k thrust? the Foxbat? far from it.

So junk? Ok thanks for showing it’s even worse than I thought

A phased array radar is junk?

An early 90s PESA from the USSR is junk in a world of AESAs with western electronics.

It’s a radar from 97-00’

Seeing as how “technical issues” isn’t modeled in game, I don’t think it would be an issue:

I would say the largest issue is it never finished. almost like everything about this suggestion.
“IT HAD A MOCK UP!”
Yeah one missing almost all of the things required for it to enter service. at this point the mock up and the design might aswell be 2 different aircraft.

And show me where you fit this mythical radar on the mig1.44

I never said anything about a mock up, you must be thinking of the YaK-141 with the mock radar missile. This thing wasn’t a mock up, and it flew in full functioning order, like the Yak-141 did.

Idk, maybe in the god-damn radome at the nose of the aircraft?

It would go in the nose like any other aircraft. Weather the radar when built actually be able to fit good question.

Lets talk about it’s predecessor the N011 which failed to track Pak F-16s. past mach 1

LMFAO. So now the Russians have not only created a radar that outperforms the west of that time, but have somehow managed to miniaturize it so much to fit inside the nose of the MiG 1.44 prototype. Tell you what, this can come into the game the same patch as the EAP. Don’t forget to request them both in the Rumor Roundup

No radar fits in the nose of the MiG 1.44 prototype. It is essentially an aerodynamic nose cap.

Your “existing aircraft” Is essentially a functioning mock-up (That might be too generous to give it.)
