The Mikoyan-Gurevich project 1.44

Idk i have a lot of doubts that the engine was really capable of having a twr of 11:1.

Where the hell did you get 11:1

It’s 1.75:1

Follow the conversation. Wiki says the engine can do anywhere from 10.5:1 to 11:1

Yeah, Wikipedia, the website anyone can change.

They should add the Tiger 105 back into the game for the new players.

tbf anyone claiming their engine has a TWR of 11:1, unless it’s something like a cola bottle strapped to a hamster, is just straight up lying. even that probably doesn’t have a 11:1 TWR.

Exactly why those numbers can’t be used.

The Mig 1.44 was a a disaster. People should definitely read more on the subject.
That being said Russia has some very good aircraft (this isn’t one of them). Most advanced Russian planes just end up being vaporware.

Whats the chunkky plane next to it

The Myasishchev VM-T

Ugly plane lol

That chunky plane is a Mig 1.44

As i have done my research before i can say you this. The ho ri never got further then 1 small wooden mock up and incomplete paperwork. No engine or other parts of a driveline where ever build. No armour parts ever got developed. No full size scale model was ever build. No driving prototype was ever build. The cannon it would have used was a navel gun that already existed at the time for another project.
In game we have the “prototype” and the “production”.
But there never was prototype to begin with, and no production either. There are 2 documents you can find online that confirm the navel gun went to the testing phase for land use. The other document clearly states that the program was scrapped way before it left the paper due to the end of the war coming closer. No pictures, video’s or further documentation exist sadly.
Making it a “paper tank”.
Besides that, gaijin themselfs said in an old statement that it was only added to fill a gap in the japanese tree at the time. Which i do agree on, there were a few big gaps back then.
The ho-ri was just an example of something that never existed. Just like the ostwind 2 for example. That thing was only suggested on paper, but never got close to being finished before the war ended. Just straight made up to fill a gap aswell. The old flakpanzer 341 that it replaced atleast had a full size wooden turret mock up and some paperwork behind it (the frame was just a panther as you know). But yea, that story is for another time.
I gtg to work, do some research and if you can’t find it on your own let me know and i will kindly send you the information again
The declassified documents can easely be found ;)

And 6 of its intended 3,7 cm Flak 341 build. Belt fed longer barrled adapted Flak 43. With 1000m/s (most likely meant with the M-Gr. Instead of “just” 914m/s or Standart Sprgr.18 instead of 820/840m/s.)

The Engine ALONE,…

Good job researching it, sounds like your research was nothing more than a basic Google search. While others in the past have argued the same claims just to be disputed.

Yeah there is no shot the Engine alone can produce a TWR of 11:1.

Okay; I could light a hobby rocket motor and it would have a TWR of about the same, so what point are you trying to make exactly?

The J58 has a TWR of about 7 with afterburner. The foxbat has a TWR of about 5. If this has one of 11 your math for 1.75 sounds more realistic. So yes i really have doubts in that number.

The Vigg (JA37) has a single engine at a TWR of 1.12, yet, in game, it doesn’t perform that well. Give a jet something of the akin power of the JA37, and two of them at that, it’s pretty high power, but you also have to account for power loss from the extra weight; so it’s probably more like 1.35-1.50
