Speed isn’t really that important, and considering you can’t run the ram-jet without flying in a straight line, your low speed turning performance would be very ‘meh’ at best.
all that and only mach 2.19
due to structural materials, the combination of engine could do more, but the Duralumin material was unable to withstand heat due to airflow
Yeah, when they intro things like the Foxbat, YF-12, and even the Blackjack, it’s a useless tool.
Ends with a “top gun: maverick” esc decintegration?
that Stato-reactor have been shown to be ignite at lowspeeds
could have been, but not IRL though
But the performance will not be good, and burn lots of fuel compared to its thrust. There is a reason you see (yet again a Top Gun: Maverick reference) once they proceed past Mach 3 they enter Ram-jet mode, because that is when it is most powerful and efficient.
102.3 kn Thrust total, to a 6725kg dry aircraft: not that bad TWR
That still doesn’t matter with a ram-jet, it’s all about speed. That is unless your jet turbine is feeding the ramjet.
It doesn’t? The AL-41F and AL-31F are as far from similar as you can possibly get.
T48 supremacy
Sure, you can light it, but it’s not going to be efficient.
“interpretacion libre” = free interpretation
that’s not a manufacturer drawing, just an artist’s rendidition of what he/she thinks it looks like in the inside.
after eurofighter 2000 typhoon this can be delightful as premium at 12.7 without r77 13.0 with r77
Can’t be added, same thing as EAP basically.
Sovietsky soyuz came to the game so it can be too
Ships are held to a different standard. While I would love to see it but Yak-141 was pushing it already this is closer to EAP.
