Speed isn’t really that important, and considering you can’t run the ram-jet without flying in a straight line, your low speed turning performance would be very ‘meh’ at best.

But the performance will not be good, and burn lots of fuel compared to its thrust. There is a reason you see (yet again a Top Gun: Maverick reference) once they proceed past Mach 3 they enter Ram-jet mode, because that is when it is most powerful and efficient.

Ships are held to a different standard. While I would love to see it but Yak-141 was pushing it already this is closer to EAP.
